My wife and I spent 3 nights here in August. We had booked a double room with King size bed, WiFi available in the rooms as well as public places, with a view over the estuary. The booking was made with hotel.com and paid in advance. The room was a nice size and we could see the estuary from a... More

Stayed for one night 2nd Aug 2014 and will not be going back. Staff were bemoaning the fact that they had been left to manage the hotel whilst the owner was out and upon his return he began shouting and swearing loudly. I was sat outside for after dinner drink with spectacular setting (choice at dinner was disappointing and staff... More

Visited the gazelle with a few friends and had a lovely meal! I would recommend the chicken sizzler and the steak! but during our meal the owner was extremely rude to a customer, He had clearly been drinking most of the night and as the lady asked if he would not use such appalling launguage around customers his response was... Despite living just a few miles from The gazelle we had not visited for several year and so my partner and I decided to take her parents (who are both in their seventies,) to this establishment based upon our historical experiences. We sat in the main bar next to a group of people one of whom started swearing loudly. I... More

This is my first ever review. I am not a seasoned complainer but feel I must announce my disappointment. Used to eat at the Gazelle often but not been for about a year or so: we are local living 2 miles away. Mon 28.7.14: Went with wife for a quiet meal and found the menu uninspiring (although I acknowledge that... More

We have driven past Gazelle many times and seen it on the opposite side of 'the Straits' from Bangor Pier. We had Lunch there yesterday, July 19th and it was rather good. Service was efficient and came with a smile. We chose standard ' Pub Grub' Meals but they were well presented. The location of Gazelle is charming and on... More

The room whilst decorated pleasantly, contained numerous dead bugs on the carpet, and a suspect orange stain on the bed linen-ketchup? We chose to eat in the restaraunt on the first evening of our stay. The vegetarian option was out, a problem for the two of our group that are veggie. In replacement we were given a partially rotten salad.... More

We stayed here last year and we were really looking forward to returning. Unfortunately we arrived on a busy week and it seemed that the hotel was unable to cope with this. The rooms had several dead bugs around the windows. The public toilets in the bar area were unhygienic. The food in the restaurant was vile. There was no... More

Came upon The Gazelle by chance whilst visiting Anglesey, after negotiating the drive down to the hotel, you have magnificent views across to Bangor Pier and up the Menai Straits. As it was a sunny warm day, we enjoyed a drink outside, service was quick and efficient, wished we could have stayed longer, may be next time!

What can I say absolutely wonderful, this two day break was a gift as our wedding present. Had room no10 and friends had 11. Rooms great with en-suite shower rooms, views of the Straits, private balcony shared by 3 rooms but we had this to ourselves for duration of stay. Food great and even room service to the balcony with... More
