I stayed here November 20 and just showed up to book a room at the recommendation of a local resident. I was only there for one night, but the lovely front desk woman, whose name I now cannot remember(sorry!), was very helpful and very kindly upgraded me so I could enjoy the sea view and mountains. Thank you!! I met... More

We stayed for 2 nights in November. We chose this hotel partly because we could take our dog. The room was warm and clean and had a great view of the sea. Depending on your view of the hotel it will either have character or look tired - I thought it has seen better days. Dinner in the bar area... More

A beautiful hotel set in a beautiful location. the staff went out of there way to accomodate us. We have a little dog and we were allowed to take him with us for breakfast and dinner in the lounge which meant a lot to us as he is a rescue dog that doesn't like being alone. Our room was lovely... We were delighted to find our dog was welcome to join us for the night. She was allowed in the bar and lounge, where we were served delicious sandwiches made with obviously home cooked ham and beef. It is a lovely old building with a stunning staircase and some beautiful furniture, but the place is looking a little tired. The... More

I'm not really in the habit of giving mixed reviews, but this place is a real baffler - a right old puzzle of a hotel. And I would say first of all that our stay here was in November, so obviously out of season and very logically the time when repairs and refurbs need to be done. The website and... More

Both Catherine and April in reception went out of their way to help me solve a business problem involving scanning documents. They were both charming. Staff overall are very friendly and the hotel is well run and in a brilliant position.

Read some reviews elsewhere and was not expecting what we actually found. Firstly the hotel is bigger than we expected with lots of lovely old furniture and excellent lounges where you can relax. Our room was not sea facing which was a shame, but nonetheless it had everything you need. Wifi free and good, mobile signal (02), good sized TV... More

Tired and neglected hotel which is such a shame as it could really be something quite special if a little time and money was spent on it. Location is great and the staff (particularly those on reception and in the dining room) were helpful and friendly. BUT our room at the front of the hotel was overheated (despite the fact... More

This visit to the Bulkeley hotel in Beaumaris was a belated birthday treat. I chose this hotel for its prime location in Beaumaris, the sea view and the fact it had a car park. I booked it several months in advance and did not realise that the Beaumaris Firework Display was on that night. This was a nice surprise especially... More
