I booked this venue last minute early July ,a family room was available now I know why.The stench of the place hit you as you walked in old fat and stale cigarettes. The staff were unfriendly .The price shot up £40 pounds within 24hours from our original quote on booking the room. The surroundings were dated and appeared shabby.I chose not to... Was supposed to stay for one night last weekend. On been given our room we found it to be filthy. The room was crawling with spiders and the sheets dirty. Decided to stay somewhere else. As had only been in hotel ten mins asked about getting some of our money back as room was not fit to sleep in. The... More

This hotel has friendly and helpful staff, I stayed here one night recently with a friend and we both managed to leave our waterproof jackets behind. They where kept for us for collection. Both jackets where expensive and would need £200-£300 to replace each one. The owners seem to be working hard on refubishing the hotel, but for us the... More

They tried to charge us more than the agreed rate over the phone. £80 for a family room for 1 night became £135 when we turned up. The hotel is shabby and run down and stinks of cigarette's. We were so disgusted by their attitude and the state of the place we left. Avoid.

As a group of walkers we visit Angelsey every year. We enjoy a coffee at the start and on both our trips to Bull Bay we have never found the hotel open even at 11.00am. It has all the signs outside welcoming visitors but on both our visits the doors have been locked! Good luck if you can get in... More

Positives - Friendly staff & food very good. Nice location with Coastal walks nearby Negatives - The hotel is very basic, tired & in need if a refurb. Dining area could be improved, reminded me of a Nursing home dining area and need to walk through non functioning room with toilet sign on the door to get there. This hotel... More

I recently stayed at the Bull Bay hotel with my parents for my birthday and all I can say it's one birthday I won't forget! When we arrived there was a sign on the reception desk telling us to check in at the bar. The bar was shabby and it was very daunting walking to the bar when there were... More

I stayed here as part of a walk around the whole of the Wales Coast Path. To be honest it was a little shabby to walk into but the welcome from the staff more than made up for that. The food was good and the room had a bath - perfect for a tired walker. The food was generous and... More
