I stayed here and the hotel is haunted, I woke up in the middle of the night to find a elderly man at the bottom of my bed. However I fell back asleep and the next morning I told the owner and described to her what he looked like, she walked away and went and grabbed a photo and to... More

Oh My life! Well I have been living here for 2 months now and I have not had the pleasure of a visit from "the other side" however if I do I will be sure to call Evette and Derek over for a cup of tea (and I have actually worked with them both back in my Television days so... More

My wife and I had our 1st wedding anniversary meal here in 1976: Chef was over-joyed to learn that we were vegetarian and excelled himself. The then owner had 2 Great Danes who used to sun themselves on the main road, most mornings as I drove down to work at the Portmadoc Laundry (long since defunct/not much my fault.) The... More

What a lovely write up and thank you for being so complimentary! I cant take all the credit my partner Steve plays a big part in the running of the businesses and I couldn't do without his help. The same can be said for our dedicated team of staff who keep the businesses running. As you probably know we are... More

The pub is great, staff were friendly. The room we stayed in could do with updating but it was clean and comfy. Decor in the room was a little dated but as I say it was clean and comfy. Breakfast was great I had the full English and my wife had variations on cooked breakfast (eggs on toast etc) nothing... More

I travelled in a group of eight males celebrating a fiftieth and some hotels are overly wary of that kind of booking but this hotel made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. Even upgrading birthday boy to a double room just because one was available. We stayed three nights and the breakfast each morning was... More
