Just returned after a 3 day stay at tynewydd in Tremadog. We really enjoyed our stay and thought it excellent value for money. The room was lovely, lovely bed crisp clean sheets and a big en-suite. Very friendly landlady Julie always smiling and keen to help and advise. Breakfast second to none, fills you for hours. We would definatly stay... More

First impressions were that outside the front door was in need of a tidy , dead flowers in flower pots could of been removed. We were greeted with a smile by the owner , once inside i noticed the worn carpet on the stairs, our room was spotlessley clean , roomy but very dated in decor .The owner Julie was... More

The owners of Ty-Newydd were kind enough to collect us from the train station and take us to the B&B. We recieved a warm welcome and the owner provided a bus timetable and tourist information. Julie was very attentive to our needs especially at breakfast. There are plenty of places to eat and we would recommend the Square. Tremadog is... More

The room was quite satisfactory, very comfortable everything I needed. The hosts were very friendly and generous. They picked me up from the train station and were very helpful in regards to providing information on local information and sights. Hot breakfast was brilliant. Location was excellent with excellent restaurants close by and the walk to Porthmadog made for good exercise. More

As one of the other reviewer said, there's nothing wrong with this place, and nothing remarkable. We would certainly stay there again, given fairly limited choices in the area. More

We stayed here for 2 days during mid-Sep 2006 and got a warm welcome from Julie the owner. The room is spacious (it's the largest room I stayed during my 2-week visit to UK) and is very clean. Plenty private off-road parking is available. The full English breakfast is nicely cooked and Julie is attentive and give us some tips... More

The place is actually in Tremadog, about a mile walk from Porthmadog. It was our first experience in an English/Welsh/Scottish BnB, and so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. After 6 more weeks of hotels, BnBs, self-caters, hostels, and campsites, I declare Ty Newydd to be . . . not bad, average, nothing spectacular, yet nothing to complain about.... More

I stayed at Tynewydd, in their self-catering cabin. It's a lot nicer than it sounds! The cabin/chalet is made of Norwegian wood and is surprisingly big. It has a living/kitchen area, a bedroom and a bathroom. It's very clean and comfortable and the owners are friendly and unobtrusive - although you'd better like dogs! I stayed there in November and... More
