My wife and I was moved to another table part way through the meal, to seat a regular. You get better service in Mc D's. Food OK, about average, that's about it. Nice lounge with a large real fire, that was nice.

This is our 14th visit to Portmerion despite being local! We usually stay in the village or the hotel, but this year we fancied a change. The rooms in the Castell are much bigger and of course modern compared to the hotel. The service, as always is excellent and the staff work extremely hard to ensure that all your needs... More

This was our 9th stay at Portmeirion, this time at Castell Deudraeth. We’ve stayed in the Penthouse previously which was our best ever Christmas. This November for our anniversary as we were married at Portmeirion we stayed in Castle 8 for 3 nights which was a fantastic grand room with everything that you could possibly wish for. We had breakfast... More

We have just stayed here for a weekend with another couple and had a very good experience overall. The price was £80 pppn for a huge suite, dinner, bed and breakfast, entry to the village and use of the free minibus service. The dinner allowance was £30 per person but all drinks and coffee were extra. We thought it was... More

Ate here with my parents and children on 5th August. Three of us couldn't eat our meals the food was so bad. The burgers in particular were inedible. Staff did not question when they came to collect plates why three of the plates were virtually untouched. The meal was expensive anyway, but particularly so in light of the awful food... More

We booked one night here to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. We had a suite, which was fabulous, immaculately clean, and complete with flowers and champagne. The suite was enormous, very comfortable with everything we could have wished for. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, and the breakfast was lovely too. Service is excellent, and the whole experience made... More

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Castle Deudraeth. Everything was excellent. Service, room, food and experience. We could use the free mini bus to shuttle between castle and partner seaside Portmeirion Hotel. Our package included afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. We could have afternoon tea and dinner at whichever hotel we chose after studying the menus. We... More

The castle itself was beautiful, but the rooms were quite sterile, I didn't find the staff at all overly helpful or "happy". The rooms however were very comfortable if only a little "clinical" with next to no colour or personality, but everything you needed was there. At break fast I was completely shocked.. for the price and we paid $400... More

Castell Deudraeth Room 1 This hotel is lovely just a short walk away (3 to 4 min) from Portmeirion village. We stayed two nights in room 1 in late September. The room was very large (10m square) with a very large & comfortable double bed, sofa seating area 42" TV & sound system, large wardrobe kitchen area (no cooker) and... More

We stayed here for three nights as a base to explore Portmeirion and the surrounding areas. The hotel, like all things in Portmeirion, is a unique building so no two rooms are the same - which is part of its charm. Bedroom 9 was a large and comfortable suite of three separate rooms on the second floor with a charming... More
