Thirsty, called into hotel for directions but refused water. Was driving in North Wales, lost and looking for a campsite where I was visiting friends. Couldn't find it at all along this road, and got to the point where I thought of stopping somewhere and asking for any directions if a local had heard of it. I was also very... More

Stayed in the Reynold Williams room (not sure of its number, I’m not sure any of the rooms here have numbers!), and it’s delightful. Very spacious and the first room we’ve ever enjoyed in a hotel with a coffee table as large as our own. Everything you could want including a balcony with sumptuous (if not breathtaking) views. Lovely restaurant... More

We booked this hotel for 2 nights on a promotion at short notice. We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel and its grounds. It really is a lovely location. Our room (Pryce) had everything we needed (a small defect we reported was rectified post haste). All the food, arrival "sparkling welsh tea", canapés, market menu dinner and breakfasts were... More

We stayed overnight to celebrate my husbands birthday the weekend of the 16/8/2014. The hotel is beautiful and he grounds are well maintained. Service from the staff is very attentive, without being to invasive. We have lovely room with a small balcony overlooking the garden. Had dinner in the evening and the food was very good, good wine selection. Would... More

We were there yesterday for afternoon tea for six. The Hotel is simply stunning with 2 lounges for afternoon tea and beautiful gardens. Its very much home with beautiful furnishings. Afternoon tea is plentiful with various cakes and sandwiches and scones that were to die for, obviously freshly made with large bowls of homemade jam and cream. Tea refilled as... More

We recently visited this establishment, which at first looked very picture postcard, however the good vibes finished there. It took us around 7 hours travelling to get there and we were looking forward to our pre-paid sparkling Welsh tea, only to be told we were too late. Tea finishes at 4.30, and we arrived around 5.15. I asked to see... More

We have just returned from a three night stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet break away from hubbub and bustle. Yes there are cheaper options but this is like staying in a friend's luxurious home. The market option menu did not disappoint; the service was wonderful and the staff very friendly and helpful.... My wife and I have just returned from a 2 day break at this wonderfully relaxing hotel. The management and staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We had a corner room with windows on 2 sides overlooking the the well maintained gardens. The food was excellent and well presented. We will definately be returning.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. In hindsight I would have booked another couple of nights but other plans dictated. The greeting was very warm and unusual no reception as to make the guest feel welcomed into a home rather than a Hotel. The service and attention to detail was excellent, with everyone from owner to house staff... More
