We live locally and call into the Inn @ Penallt often - sometimes for food; sometimes for a beer with friends and often as a couple. Always we have a great welcome from the staff; Jackie and Andy have transformed the pub into a smart friendly establishment with great food. Peter the chef and his team produce quality food, locally... More

We arrived in Wales after spending a week in Devon. It was a long journey are we had to detour back to the new bridge which added two hours of confusion. Our first meal was at the Inn at Penallt. We were exhausted and looked forward to a relaxed and delicious dinner, after all it is Michelin rated. I had... More

Have just spent two nights at The Inn to celebrate my birthday. A lucky choice as the owners were very helpful and attentive, the rooms were comfy and well-equiped and the food was fabulous. Andy and Jackie have put a great deal of thought into every aspect of their business. Often people who leave the Big Smoke for 'the good... More

Just returned from a five day road trip and stayed one night at The Inn at Penallt. So relaxing and quiet, off the beaten track. Special mention should go to Sally who looked after us and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend the staff for their hospitality and the accommodation for comfort and cleanliness.

Just returned from the most amazing stay at The Inn. We were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary and did 'The Weekender' package and couldn't have chosen a more special and idyllic place than this. Room 3 was lovely, very cosy and peaceful with a gorgeous view. You could hear the birds singing and look out the window to stunning scenery... More

This is the second stay we have had at The Penallt, we love it. This is simple, the food, accommodation and service is all equally as impressive as the other. There are no faults. You should definitely go here. It's like a home away from home and has a lovely friendly atmosphere. You just had to look around and see... More

Visit! Pure and simple. Terrific welcome with clean rooms and local delicacies aplenty. Andrew, the owner, took over a rather run down local against the advice of his friends. I'm pleased to report he's proved them absolutely wrong. A beautiful setting accompanied by fantastic food and the warmest possible welcome. Highly recommended.

We stayed here one night with my DH and two boys (13yo & 11yo). Having reserved two rooms, I expected that we would stay in rooms above the pub. Instead, happily, we were given two separte rooms (connected by a foyer) in a little cottage next to the Inn itself. It was the perfect set up. My DH and I... More

Stayed for one night only on " eat, sleep and drink" rate. It was wonderful to find such hospitality still exists. Andy made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The meal we had was exceptional - from the homemade bread which was delicious, right through to the pudding I chose aptly called chocolate heaven. Breakfast was... More

I last stayed at the Inn about 3 years ago so was really hoping I was not going to be disappointed. Well I certainly was not. I raved about this place after my first visit and I am really pleased to say it has just even better than before. The owners, Andrew and Jackie seem to put their all into... More
