On 25 April my partner and I arrived at Penylan when walking Offa's Dyke Path.It was very foul weather indeed and Cathy made every effort to make us forget our wet clothes, boots and muddy walk. Very comfy room with good bathroom and windows on 2 sides overlooking their cattle and the hills. Very clean and in a quiet, rural area.Took... More

We stayed at Penylan in October 2011 and we had three fantastic nights. My husband and I originally tried to book bed and breakfast for ourselves and our 21 month old daughter. Cathy suggested that the room could be a little snug with a travel cot and offered us one of the cottages and offered to make us breafast in... More

I booked the Beili Stable and Ciderhouse Cottage for my extended family for the weekend as we were invited to a wedding in Monmouth. We didn't want to stay in a hotel and this meant we could be together and have the flexibility tor run between cottages. My Dad and wife stayed in the B&B which they loved. It was... More

Stayed in Cider Cottage with my parents (in their eighties), my son and daughter in law (late twenties) and grandson (5 months). Everybody loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. Will certainly be going back for another stay. (This the second visit for my husband and me as we stayed in B&B earlier in the year. Also brilliant).... More

My husband and I stayed at this lovely b&b last weekend when we were in Wales for a friend's wedding. The landlady was just lovely and so accomodating. She offered us a tea/coffee straight away, chilled our champagne for us and even gave us forks and plastic cups. The breakfast was gorgeous, filled with yummy local meats. The bacon in... More

We stayed here after attending a wedding nearby. The B&Sis beautifully set within a working farm. We stayed in the double room, with bath and shower head unit. It is very comfortable and the room can be accessed without having to walk through the house. Cathy looked after us very well, preparing us a Welsh breakfast at a time to... More

Stayed here 1 night due to business meeting in Raglan. At first it seems a little bit out of the way (especially when travelling from Kent), however following the directions provided it was easy to find once past Monmouth. Especially as there are convient signs located at junctions when approx 3 miles away. Arrived to find a beautiful B&B located... More

This is an excellent B&B - in a quiet rural area but very easy access to Cardiff. Rooms comfortable and excellent service from delightful owners (the breakfast was outstanding). We could not get a hotel in Cardiff for a major event at the Millenium Stadium but it only took 45 minutes by car. Its also an ideal placeto stay to... More
