Don't expect the minimalist look that most modern hotels seem to be going for nowadays. This is good hospitality as it should be. We stayed in a pleasant 'old fashioned' room with great views and made use of the hotels restaurant. Food was excellent and the service was great. You choose from the menu before being called into the dining... More

This beautifully restored Victorian country manor is a hidden treasure, deep in the countryside of North Wales. The building and gardens are superbly kept. Rooms have been tastefully and sensitively restored. Everything inside appears to be authentic, from the marquetry floors and fabulous carpets, up to elegantly hand-painted, domed ceilings. Elaborately carved woodwork competes for your attention, along with original... More

Beautiful Victorian manor house, with a sweeping driveway and gorgeous landscaped gardens. You know you've arrived when you get here!!! The owners are lovely and genuinely care about their guests. Room was beautiful, and full of original features as you'd expect from a house of this quality. Breakfast was tasty, and lots of choice; service was impeccable. As with the... More

We have been before and, again, it was a lovely stay with excellent food and service. Prices for food, drinks, wine and coffee are very reasonable and always of good quality. If you want to experience a true country house without the sad fads and trappings one finds in other more expensive places, but with all the comforts, come to... More

My wife and i enjoyed a very restful and relaxing three night stay at Pale Hall. The hall and grounds are superb. We were particularly impressed with the tapestries, the carved wood features and the magnificent ceilings not forgetting the stained glass skylight. The owners and staff all made us feel very welcome and looked after us brilliantly. Compared to... More

Pale Hall is the most beautiful building. It has been maintained/restored magnificently. The building and features are exceptional and the history of the hall is fascinating. The grounds are magnificent too. Each of the public rooms are delightful as are the bedrooms. Dinner and breakfast were high quality and service was silver-spoon. It is a quiet hotel and would not... Our group of 5 couples have been on an annual pilgrimage around the UK for the last 35 years. (we were originally 6 couples but the years are taking their toll). We have stayed in some superb hotels and this one is no exception. It is like staying in a stately home but better. The building and features are exceptional... More

The huge reception rooms, vaulted ceilings, and lush furnishings made us feel as if we were visiting with nobility! Our room had a quiet courtyard outlook. Breakfast was waitress service of a full cooked choice with cereal and fruit buffet. Situated in the welsh hills and close to Bala lake and Snowdonia one could do a lot worse for a... More

This Hotel is different little qwerky, it is more like coming into someone's country pile as a guest, you are (rightly) expected to dress reasonable smartly. This house is full if history and is immaculate thought. We stayed in a twin room with beautiful views over the again the perfectly manicured grounds. Dinner was good not Michelin Star type but... Wanted someone special to have high tea and found this lovely gem of a place. The old building and grounds are beautiful and we spent a lovely afternoon sitting in the grounds and enjoying tea in the drawing room. The tea was excellent and I can highly recommend it as the price was such good value. Can't wait to return... More
