When we first visited the Bryn last year, we had Sunday lunch and we felt as though we were meeting old friends, even though we had not met Martin and Linda previously. This year we stayed for 3 nights and were made just as welcome. The room has character and all the facilities we needed. It was great to be... More

We have a caravan in Bala so we often pop to this beautiful little pub for a meal or a drink and we always receive a friendly warm welcome - this extends to pooches too as we took our new bulldog puppy with us on Sunday and he enjoyed being pampered and given treats by the lovely owners. This place... More

This place is genuinely ridiculous. From the outside it looks like a run of the mill pub in a beautiful rural setting. The menu is pretty good on viewing. However, when you start eating, you will be shocked at how tasty the food is. Seriously. This is somewhere you MUST eat if you're in the area. It's very well priced... More

My family and I rang this pub last Sunday to see if we could get in for Mother's Day and were pleasantly surprised that they could at such short notice, but also worried that this meant it wasn't going to be good - we were wrong! We picked this pub as it's in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and the... More

My husband and I stayed a night here during a fly fishing trip on Bala Lake and surrounding streams. Martin and Linda (and even Screwfix) were absolutely lovely. The location was excellent with beautiful views. The food in the pub was nothing short of delicious and we had a lovely time drinking pints with some locals. I would definitely recommend... More

Armed with a photo taken circa 1957, I revisited the Bryntirion Inn, Llandderfel. Received a warm welcome from Martin, Linda (and a real log fire) and enjoyed a splendid soup and sandwich lunch. Freshly prepared, the meal was very tasty, followed by a cafetiere of coffee and mints. Martin and Linda were very forthcoming in sharing photos and history of... More

We didn't stay here but met up with family as we do before Christmas. Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the bar area. Meal was lovely and all 5 of us enjoyed it. It is also dog friendly as a lot of pubs are in Wales. Will definately go there again. We didn't stay in the hotel part, just met... More

We were staying locally to celebrate my husband's 70th Birthday - a large party of 8 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs. Our accommodation was self catering but we booked Sunday lunch at the Bryntirion where we were made very welcome and where they allowed our 2 dogs to join us. We had one of the dining rooms to ourselves... More

We stopped here for something to eat. We were told we could eat in bar area or a quiet lounge we chose the lounge. The menu was very good. We all chose the Bryn Bara. Steak & mushrooms in ale tucked into bread (see picture) a choice of potatoes or chip with vegetables. It was heavenly but unfortunately to big... More
