We stayed at Y Meirionnydd for a total of two nights sampling a total of three rooms. Our family members stayed in the Arran and we stayed in both the Eyri and Meirion. Arran was tasteful and was furnished with quality and our family members were happy. However it is sandwiched between the toilets for the restaurant and what we... More

Hello fSnob, thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review, always helpful to us. Arran will be refurbished later in April as we've mentioned previously but I'm not sure where the noise was coming from as we would certainly not be moving furniture around overnight. We take great pride in our spotlessly clean rooms and have... More

stayed for one night during a 2 day walking break - the room was very well appointed though I think that drainage in the area was not devised for the use of power showers and I had to be circumspect in how I used the shower. Choice at breakfast was particularly good and the staff were particularly helpful - highly... More

My fiance and I spent a 2 night weekend at Y Meirionnydd to celebrate his birthday and our engagement. From the reservation process to check out, we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and happy to provide advice or information on anything from what other restaurants to visit... More

Went for dinner the other night after not having been for some time. Very comfortable, staff most attentive and willing, interesting menu could do with a few tweeks to up it a notch but seem o be trying hard. Understand the owner is the present chef but a new one is coming hope the new one doesn't have too many... More

I've only just realised that I haven't reviewed our stay at the Meirionnydd, which definitely doesn't reflect dour stay there. We went for a romantic weekend with a walk up Snowdon thrown in and the hotel was faultless. The welcome was warm, the inside of the hotel, from the bar to the dining room to the room itself were just... More

This was our first experience at Y Meirionnydd and it did not disappoint! We stayed under the 2 night spring break package which was excellent value. We arrived to a warm welcome and the service did not change throughout the weekend. The staff were very friendly and delivered excellent service, nothing was too much for them. We stayed in Eryri... This small hotel is ideally situated in the middle of town. We stayed two nights. The restaurant wasn't open on the first night but the helpful person at the hotel recommended a few good places to eat. The room on the top floor was very clean and spacious and we felt really relaxed. We ate in the restaurant on the... More

Hello Vandel58 and thank you for writing such a glowing review, we really appreciate it and the time taken. Being in the centre of town gives guests a great base to walk around the lovely town of Dolgellau although having our restaurant makes the walking somewhat unnecessary! We look forward to welcoming you once again, Marc, Nick and the team More

This is the second time I have stayed here and it is just lovely. Everything about the two rooms I have stayed in tells me someone has put a lot of thought into the elegant yet simple decor. It is homely and comforting and the beds just seem to swallow me up! Honestly- a great nights sleep in superb surroundings... More

Staying at this hotel is an experience and wasn't too bad. However we had the back bedroom at the rear of the property. It resides between the toilets and kitchen behind the bar area. Not exactly what was expected. However it was reasonably quiet and the food was good.

Dear Commuterpartners, thank you for taking the time to write a review of us. We are of course disappointed you were not pleased with the room you chose, it is a nice quiet room at the back of the building near the washrooms although the kitchen is actually in the cellar and not on the ground floor. That room is... More

We were late and cold and in minutes we were happy and warm in the bar. Nothing was too much trouble, we had an amazing winter dinner bed and breakfast offer and we had a really amazing experience - lovely staff, great food, perfect bed and such a spacious room - thank you

Carol C, I'm so pleased you had such a great weekend. The weather was pretty miserable the night you arrived and we're glad you began to unwind as you so eloquently put it the moment you entered the building - it's what we love to do! Your comments about our great food are welcome too, we are so lucky to... More
