Lovely view from bar and lounges - comfortable and modern. Our standard room was quite well finished but was a little cramped. Next time we would reserve a bigger room e with full seaviews. Room had view to castle. Breakfast good and staff attentive. Free wifi. Study website with care for best rooms

We have just enjoyed one of the most delicious and tastefully presented Sunday lunches at this hotel. The menu is imaginative and tempting....an interesting selection of dishes that are full of flavour and cooked to perfection ,with the style and service that compliment the food well. If you are looking for a venue in which to enjoy something more original that... More

My husband and I had returned to this lovely hotel after many years to be astounded! The Caerwylan is absolutely fabulous! The location of course is just as wonderful as ever. Our Room 18 was huge, immaculately clean with beautiful ensuite and looked over Cardigan Bay. Lovely deep bath, spacious shower, towelling robes and good quality toiletries. Beautiful seating area... Location, location, location - what a superb location. A sea view is one thing, but the uninterrupted view down Cardigan Bay from Criccieth Castle and the lifeboat station to the west, around the bay and across the estuary which leads to Porthmadog and Portmeirion, with Harlech Castle and the Welsh coast to the south, is in our opinion second to... We stayed for one night at the weekend, in room 15 - one of the executive rooms with views of the mountains, sea and castle. The room was lovely - very large, with the biggest bed we've ever seen. The room was absolutely spotless and could not be faulted. The facilities were great, with a really good powerful shower and... More

We have just returned from a lovely mini break at this well positioned hotel on the seafront with great sea views. The only thing wrong was we couldn't stay any longer. The staff were very friendly and professional - as were the owners, Nick and Fiona. Couldn't fault the food at all. All in all a great experience. We will... More

Outstanding location for this flat lander group from Texas. The first two days were rainy with dramatic waves crashing against the sea wall. Having a lift is a definite plus and especially one that has personality! The rooms were bright with outstanding view of the sea, lovely en-suite baths. The staff at reception was friendly and the breakfast was beautifully... More

Just had sunday lunch at the refurbished Caerwylan Hotel. The sun came out and the views over the bay were fantastic. The welcome, food and surroundings were first class. Thank you we will be back soon

Four of us dined & had the three course set Sunday Menu. Starters - smoked haddock fishcakes - delicious! Between us for main, we sampled the lamb, turkey & beef, all were beautiful with fresh vegetables & roast potatoes. We all asked for yorkshire puddings which again homemade & delicious. Dessert - Two portions of Lemon merangue Pie & two... More
