We have visited this wonderful hotel on three occasions, in fact three times in one year as we were so smitten by it. It is situated right by the sea and it has fantastic views. The hotel itself is absolutely superb, the rooms are immaculate, the food is just a dream and the staff are all very friendly and do... More

Even though the weather did not cooperate, the Caerwylan was terrific, the food fantastic - new menus daily, and it was quiet and the room very comfortable. Loved the sitting room overlooking the beach and a view of the Criccieth Castle. Thank you for an enjoyable long weekend away. :-)

Thank you Caerwylan! What a delightful hotel in which to spend a weekend away! The Caerwylan Hotel in Criccieth is situated right across the road from the pebble and sandy beach. As you approach the hotel it is obvious that it is lovingly cared for by its owners and their dedicated staff - and their hospitality shown towards guests is... More

We first discovered the caerwylan while we were having a few nights away in Wales a couple of years ago and it's now become our first choice of hotel whenever we get the chance and have the spare money to have a break. We only stayed the one night on that occasion but went back for 3 nights last February... More

I usually prefer to stay in small B&Bs, but decided to stay at the Caerwylan, which is a 20 or so room Victorian hotel on the beach, because I loved the idea of having a view of the water. We splurged on an Executive room with a big bay window with views of the water and the castle. The room... More

We arrived at the Caerwylan Hotel on Friday for a weekend away and were straight away impressed with the place. We received a great greeting at the check in desk and were shown around the hotel. The man that greeted us was just so kind and friendly. We received the same treatment throughout our stay, The staff were wonderful, kind... More

Went to Criccieth to visit my friend overnight, and she suggested this hotel. We arrived, beautiful weather, had drinks in the lounge which looked over onto the sea, and the castle was on the right hand side, it brought back many good memories. The Hotel staff were extremely helpful, since I am slightly handicapped. My room was very comfortable, and... More

We stayed for 3 nights because of a wedding at Port Meirion, a few miles down the road. This is a really good hotel and we are pleased to strongly recommend it! All the staff are helpful and friendly. We had room 18 overlooking the sea/bay and it was spacious and perfect. The furnishings throughout the hotel are of a... More

Definitely the Caerwylan! We tried another a few years ago, a 'restaurant with rooms' and it had a lovely view, but the bed was not much smaller than the room. Tight! And then a super hotel - but found it was out of town and away from the sea. So if you want the only really decent hotel in Criccieth,... More

We'd stayed here several years ago. Then it was a hotel with great views across the bay, the castle and distant mountains. The rooms, while large, we're in need of some tlc. The new owners have obviously invested heavily to update the rooms to a high standard. The prices were quite high, but justified by the quality. We ate in... More
