Having being given a voucher whilst sitting on the front at Criccieth for 10% off the Sunday carvery we decided to book. At the bar we paid for four small carverys (£7.50 each = £30-£3 = £27) a glass of lemonade, a soda water and two glasses of tap water. My elderly Dad was charged £31.00. When he questioned the... I found this hotel via booking.com & must admit value came into the decision to book. My partner has family in Criiccieth & knows the area well. On arrival I was surprised at the size of the hotel. The decor is dated but in some ways could be classed as retro. The reception is warm & the rooms are comfy... More

Four nights for £120. We stayed for a few days over February half term and really enjoyed the stay. The room was a bit tired and the central heating didn't work so well one evening but everything else was spot on. The bar downstairs was full of friendly local characters which also served nice food. Criccieth was ideally located to... More

I chose this hotel as I found a really good deal on booking.com (£60 for 2 people, for two nights). The lobby is lovely - an open fire with sophisticated furniture and portraits/pictures on the walls. There was even an old cat wondering around! Room was clean but quite old fashioned. There was a decent sized bathroom (shower was ok... More

Quite happy with my stay. Clean room, comfy bed and warm shower. Welsh beef burger from the bar was very good! Breakfast was good. Old fashioned, says free WiFi but its only available in the lobby, bar has poor lager on tap options.

We stayed in the cottage out the back as we had our dog with us for an extra charge of £5 per day. Room was a little small but clean bed was comfy. Lovely views of the castle and sea, excellent location. Food average. Overall lovely stay.

Seven of us went to this hotel late November for a Turkey & Tinsel holiday. We all enjoyed the experience and the staff were friendly and helpful, the food excellent and the entertainment kept us amused ! My room was warm and comfy and I have no complaints. I would recommend this hotel.

Sue and I spent Christmas at the Lion Hotel in Criccieth with Barnes Coaches Swindon. We left on 20th.Dec. and returned 27th.Dec.. Every thing about this break was brilliant. The coach trip to North Wales was very good, with comfort stops and lunch on the way. The hotel was family run and very homely. Food was exceptionally good and the... More
