A big thank you to the management and staff, who were very pleasant and helpful, and made our Diamond Wedding really special. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with excellent facilities. The hotel is in a pleasant location and Caernarfon, Bangor and Llandudno are all within reasonable travelling distance. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend... More

my wife and I stopped by on Sat 4th Oct 14 and as we couldn't find any place in the town serving food after 3pm we were very pleasantly surprised to find the Lion serving a wonderful home made lobster and crab burger outside in the sun filled garden. The service was fast and very efficient and the burger excellent.... More

What fantastic service! The staff were brilliant and so helpful, always smiling, nothing was too much trouble. The was a good choice of menu for dinner, and was always served hot. Breakfast had everything you ask for and the English breakfast was kept fresh and hot, unlimited toast and preserves. Bedrooms were kept clean and comfortable and the tea tray... More

We stayed in the Annex. When we were shown to our room which was described as ‘Cottage’ accommodation it was far from cottage like. Across the car park, the entrance was next to the boiler house and led to a dingy staircase covered with a shabby grubby carpet. On the small landing were bags of laundry which remained there for... I stayed with my young German Shepherd for 3 nights at the end of September in the hotel "castle view" annexe, in a room which really does have a magnificent view of the castle. The room was very comfortable and quiet, apart from one night when disturbed a while by guests in neighbouring rooms. All the staff were very friendly,... More
