The room was clean and comfortable. I had a great sleep. It was on the second floor so we relied on the lift which was quick and modern. The food was very good. Something different every night. The staff were excellent; very friendly and welcoming. There was entertainment on every night of my stay. I would definitely go back.

Went with Alfa. Nice twin room on first floor with bath/shower staff were friendly and helpful. The food was ok but nothing special, had hunt the syrup in the sponge for one sweet and the blackcurrant cheesecake wasn't quite right but still eatable. Enjoyed trips out and entertainment was fine! Our driver was excellent. I like Alfa .

went to this hotel on a coach trip with Alfa coaches. We spent 4 nights here and they were very enjoyable. We were taken out on steam trains every day as my husband and friend are enthusiasts. Hotel was clean and food good. We paid extra for a sea and castle view which I think was well worth the money.... More

stayed here last week and found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. In particular our waitress Bistra was incredible.she managed to remember everyone's meal without writing anything down and did it with a smile for everyone.she was particularly patient with a couple of people who needed extra care.only thing could mention is that the rooms were quite hot to... Just stayed recently on a 5 day Alfa Coach Holiday- the hotel was very welcoming- staff very helpful -our bedroom was very spacious and had an excellent view of the Castle and the sea. The food had plenty of choice and the portions were just right and the waiting staff were always ready to help. The hotel was right in... More

Excellent location for our requirements. Food always hot and presentable. Staff willing and never fazed. Rooms adequate, with towels changed every day. Good views of the bay and castle from the upper front bedrooms. Quiet village with some superb walks in the welsh country side.

Spent six nights here on an Alfa holiday. The staff were all very helpful especially in the dining room and bar. Our room was adequate, not very large, and rather dark due to the overgrown vegetation outside our window .We had originally requested a Castle view room, which I think would be larger and lighter, but as we wanted an... Like many other visitors to this hotel we were on an Alfa tour ("Scenic Welsh Trains"). The location in the town centre is very with good with good views from the rooms on the front of the hotel. The building itself is impressive. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and for the rest of our stay we found all... More

Spent a very lovely 5 nights here. Our room 217 was fantastic (although it could have been even better if the plug socket by the dressing table still worked or there was a mirror next to the working socket for the hair dryer). Staff were fantastic. Entertainment was good. Food was good - although they had no yoghurt for 3... More

Stayed at this hotel recently and even though some problems like the heating would not go off, on the main road so traffic noise and noise from radiator at 04.30 which woke me up the staff were brilliant especially Bistra the restaurant supervisor. They also cater for dietary problems like gluten intolerance which is good.
