We love Criccieth but have never actually stayed there, so we decided to spend a few days exploring. We chose Glyn y Coed as we wanted a sea view, and we got much, much more. So friendly, Julie made us feel part of the family and a pot of tea was soon produced free of charge in a beautiful lounge... More

Myself and my girlfriend went to Criccieth for a 3-day break, after my grandma said she'd visited there with my grandpa, 30 years ago (n'awwww). I didn't know much about the town, or the surrounding area, other than it was supposed to be beautiful (and it was): I certainly didn't know where to stay. I had a look at various... More

Thank you both for staying with us and thank you so much, Nick, for taking the time and trouble to write those lovely comments. You made me laugh because I have had that tray in the hall, for people to leave their muddy shoes in, for the last couple of years - and you are the first person to use... More

This little hotel/B&B is very conveniently located for exploring the region and taking walks on the Lleyn Peninsula. Julie, the owner, was extremely helpful and even provided us with a map and print-out of great walks. The hotel is close to the beach, all the restaurants (which were also excellent) and a nice pub. Our rooms were very nice, had... More

A very nice place to stay in a lovely part of North Wales. Great position overlooking the bay, with a stunning view of Criccieth Castle on the hill. The room was very clean, and the en-suite bathroom was immaculate. Breakfast great too and a very pleasent 'hands on' proprietor who is very good at her job running this hotel. Highley... More

We spent 3 nights golfing using the Snowdonia Golf Pass. The hotel is absolutely wonderful. Julie booked us into a great place to eat each night and recommended places to go for a drink as well. I would highly recommend staying here.

This place is a real gem. If you are thinking of staying in North Wales look no further. Julie is a superb host and creates a unique experience. The rooms are stylishly furnished with a combination of traditional and modern design. The breakfasts are delicious with a choice of fruit and yoghurt, cereals etc. or traditional cooked fare. A beautiful b&b. Fab breakfast, an incredibly helpful owner (thank you for the tips on where to drive to). In the centre of Criccieth, very close to shops and restaurants. A lovely large clean room, on the back of the hotel but that was fine. We would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed at Glyn-y-Coed for a long weekend while we visited Festival No.6 in Portmeirion. Our room was lovely with great views of Criccieth & everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast is extensive & has something for everyone. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you wish to explore this beautiful part of Wales.
