Stayed there while working in the area. 10 times better than a travelodge type hotel. Very friendly owners & a great breakfast. Great location for the beach & town centre. I will definately be back...

Had a wonderful 5 night stay here. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The room we were in had the most amazing views with two comfortable chairs in the bay window to sit and take in the scenery. Breakfast set you up for the day. Can highly recommend and we shall... We booked a hotel for 3 nights as a dog friendly hotel. My disappointment was, that we cannot leave the dog in the room, while we are having a breakfast, we cannot take the dog the into the breakfast area. We had three options. Leave the dog in the car while we are having breakfast, Have a breakfast separately, or... More

I'm sorry that you don't find us dog friendly, but since dogs can go everywhere in the building with the one exception being the dining room I cannot agree. Public health rules in this country do not allow for dogs to enter a room where people are eating. Our own dog is not allowed in the dining room or kitchen... More

The couple running the bed and breakfast were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They happily accommodated our American friend at the last minute and we were all made to feel very welcome.

Our recent visit to this B & B was very enjoyable and pleasant - although our stay in room 5 was only one night. The room and facilities were clean and the welcome was warm and friendly. A little dated in its appearance but worthy of its four stars :-)

This was the 2nd time we have stayed at this B&B after 20 odd years of driving through Criccieth on our way to Abersoch. Nicely decorated, comfy & spacious room with good sized spotlessly clean en-suite. Freshly cooked full English breakfast plus plenty of toast, cereal, fruit & yoghurt to choose from. Well worth paying the extra for a sea view!!... More

We spent a long weekend at Min y Gaer and by the time we left we felt as if we were leaving old friends behind. The guest house was like a home from home. The breakfast was excellent and the service and friendliness was second to none. Tim and Jan, the owners made the stay so relaxing we didn't want... More

Surprised that we managed to book a room at such short notice - our 2 dbl room booking took it to full house. Upon arrival the chap was really welcoming and the dog was really friendly. We were in Room 4 and the bed was very small and could have done with a little updating, but it was very clean,... More

We're glad you enjoyed your stay and would come again. The bed you refer to is a standard 4ft 6inch double bed, which was as booked. We do have larger beds in some rooms, but they are the ones that are always snapped up first! More

Found the Min y Gaer through a very helpful lady at the Porthmadog Tourist Information Centre. The owners were so friendly and helpful. In truth, our room could do with a little updating but it was clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful and served with a smile. Very good value and would happily stay there again.

We stayed for 1 night in May. This would have to be one of the best b&b we stayed at in our trip around England and Wales. The owners made us feel really welcome, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the breakfast excellent. It was a short walk to a good selection of pubs and restaurants for an... More
