This is certainly the worst place to stay on the penninsular. Dirty, old, It should not be allowed to be open, and was extremely expensive compared to all the other (9) lovely places I had stayed at near by (within 50 miles). Coincidently my credit card started to be used fraudantly the day after I stayed here. I am sure... More

I hadn't seen the reviews on Trip advisor before booking this hotel but i wish i had. The service was terrible and on arrival, we had to phone someone on the internal phone system to check us in however no one answered. We ended up phoning the main line to get checked in. Consequently, we had to do the same... More

I stayed here last Monday evening with my husband and 2 children aged 3 and 4 years.Like the previous review, I booked this hotel because it was the only place with availability in Abersoch...and now I know why!! At a cost of 120 pounds a night(without breakfast) I thought it should be ok. When I booked the room over the... More

My boyfried and I stayed here a few nights ago. It is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. All the aforementioned negative comments are spot on! As soon as we entered our room we were welcomed with dirty carpets covered in unidentifiable fibres. I went down and politely asked if it could be re-hoovered. However, despite hearing the... More

Stayed here with my husband and our 2 young children last weekend. It was the only place with any availability and at £120 per night room only, how bad could it be??? From the front it looks a bit tired but ok. There's an AA sign advertising its 4 diamond status (which I've since had confirmation from the AA, they... More

Stayed here a few weekends back, the rooms are very tired, badly needed clean and lick of paint, leaking taps, paper coming off the walls, then after 11o'clock some spotty young person starts on with the so called disco till God knows what time, with a bit more effort this place could be a gold mine!!!!!

In fairness they said when I booked that they had music until 1am. They did however say that they'd put me in a room at the top of the hotel where the noise would be "minimised". Naturally I understood this to mean "reduced to the smallest possible degree" which is what the English dictionary definition of minimised is. What they... More

Apart from the location this "hotel" has absolutely nothing going for it. When I opened the door to my room I thought I had walked into 1973. Dated doesn't cover it... It would seem the hotel bar is in fact a youth club that is open till 2am with no warning of this on LateRooms or it's website? The atmosphere... More

The single best thing about the Riverside Hotel is the location, it is ideally situated within Abersoch to afford good access to beaches, launching facilities, shops and amenities and given the relatively large, free car park; access to the above was made all the more straight forward. Unfortunatley, the hotel itself is in a poor state, the room in which... More
