Having taken my sanity and life into my own hands I ventured into the so-called 'culinary black hole' and what a marvellous, pleasant suprise it was! The place was clean, well presented and had that lovely smell that can only be achieved with a roaring open fire. Having settled ourselves next to said fire on a wet and miserable evening,... More

Evening bar staff best in abersoch, rob and mathew a credit to the pub!!we also miss the squeaky 1 called nia! Food standard improved greatly due to new french chef! Dog friendly pub which is a massive bonus for us! Very warm and friendly pub specialy when they use open fire during the winter.... Worth a visit!

We were looking forward to Sunday at The Sun having popped in before for a drink and noticed a decent looking menu. My wife put on a fancy T-shirt for the occasion and I booked a table - no need! We were the first to arrive. Our table was between the door and the kitchen. The whole room smelt strongly... More

Couldn’t book in advance, but they were able to quickly accommodate our party of 7 with a very young baby - we wound up in the bar at a corner table with extra space to put the baby in her carrycot (and our dog under the table). The front bar area had a good atmosphere and was most probably better... More

Just visited this pub whilst on a camping trip with my family. We got there before 7pm on a Friday evening.. The pub was very busy and had a lovely cosy atmosphere. The owner/manager got us a table straight away which was great. There were seats outside in the beer garden as well and people were sat there because of the... More

Get there for 6pm because its a busy place. Easily accommodated 4 adults a child and a baby in pushchair in the pleasant pub interior. Friendly staff & friendly fellow drinkers/diners made it really enjoyable. Good food. Great big cheesecake deserts and good beer. What more do you need?

We popped in on a late Weds afternoon in August. We just popped in for a drink after a breezy walk on Hell's Mouth beach and had driven past it on the way. A very pleasant small country pub split into a front bar area and a back dining area (but not formal). We only planned to have a drink... More

As other reviewers have stated, this is a charming inn, lovely location with a colourful beer garden. However we were a party of 6 adults and a 2 year old and we left feeling we had not had value for money. The restaurant was very busy but we were found a small table in a crowded room with others brushing... More

Used this pub for evening meals on three occasions whilst spending a week on the Lleyn Peninsula. Excellent selection of meals and good Robinson's cask ales, the Unicorn being especially good. Friendly staff and management. Dog friendly (specific areas of pub only) too. An excellent establishment; be aware, no bookings taken for meals.
