I emailed Debbie to ask about check in times - received no response. We arrived to find reception is unmanned - a printed sheet left on public view, showing my name and room number and instruction that the key is in the door. A cold room with cobwebs on the light-fitting, stained carpet and curtains sporting mildew awaited us. We... More

We had a two-night stay at the Wylfa; on arrival, we soon realized it's run by remote-control - the owners are either too busy or just too bone-idle to actually be there. Or post anyone on reception. Keys are in the bedroom doors, there's a little sign on the desk to direct you to the correct room. There's also a... More

We were a bit worried about staying here as we had read some very poor reviews but our room was large, clean and well - equipped. Breakfast was only average with boxed cereals and the advertised fruit comprised a large bowl with a few bits of grapefruit and a small bowl with a few bits of tinned pear and apricot.... More

Had our 2nd stay this year at Wylfa in July and as always had a lovely stay. Can't understand the negative comments as we have always found our room to be very clean and comfortable with no complaints whatsoever. Makes no difference to us if Debbie isn't there when we arrive and find the personal note welcoming us and key/room... More

The Wylfa is in an excellent spot in Abersoch; close to the beach and all the amenities of the village. We arrived early and were able to check in and park our car in their private parking area. Stayed in room 4 which was quite a small double with a view of the sea out of one window. It has... More

We had a weekend stay here this summer and had a great time, the staff were friendly and helpful advising us on local amenities. Our room was clean and of a good standard, the hotel itself had a real seaside feel. The hotel is on the main high street in the village close to the restaurants, shops and chippy and... More

My grand daughter stayed here a couple of days ago, the quality of the rooms are filthy. Firstly they walked in with no welcoming, just a paper saying "keys in room" what kind of business does this? In the room, there were clean fresh towels, but not folded nicely, the window cill in the room was filthy, the bin wasnt... More

Recently stopped here in room 1 First the positives. Excellent location very close to beach and town with private parking. The breakfast staff were lovely and attentive. The towels were large and fluffy. Sadly now the negatives. On arrival no greeting from the people who own the place and are charging a lot of money for what is a run... More

Arrived at B & B to a note on reception telling us which room we were in and the keys in the door, not the type of welcome I expect when paying £110 a night (we stayed 2). I think the owners should be there to personally welcome especially as there was an elderly couple just arrived and there was... More

5 mi utes walk fro. the beach and 2 minutes from the town centre.. for those who like to have a base and just get on with thier holiday, this is perfect. Nice, well cooked breakfast. its basic, but its clean, quiet and personally we quite like the unobtrusive way the hotel is run.. just lets you get on with... More
