My wife and I booked into Plas Penucha for our 47th anniversary. This 500 year + old manor house was set in beautiful countryside in the Vale of Clwydd. The house is pet friendly and has 4 ensuite rooms and lovely gardens. The owner Mrs Price was very welcoming and we felt immediately comfortable. We stayed two nights B&B and... More

This is our second stay at this enchanting house located in perfect harmony with its beautiful surroundings. The house is steeped in history and everything is lovingly cared for. Staying at this splendid retreat is very magical. We especially enjoyed the fascinating selection of books in the living room library. The open fire was such a welcoming touch and the... More

Picked up by Paul from Offas Dyke and taken to the BandB Plas Penucha. Very warm welcome, lovely warm, snug, cosy bedroom. Fire lite and tea in the Library. Excellent food and wine at the Picadilly Inn for the evening meal and a lovely breakfast. Fabulous place and great place to stay.

What a beautiful and peaceful place. A lovely welcome from Mrs Price; our dogs bonded as well! Immaculate rooms, interesting paintings in an Arts and Crafts setting. We must come back and share it with our friends.

After a very long day driving (10 hours) we were glad to get to our B&B. The house and grounds immediately struck us as charming, as was the owner. Our room faced out into the Garden and I can only describe the setting as one of utter piece. No noise except birdsong. No TV. Bliss ! The house has been... More

I travelled by train and bus to arrive in Caerwys. The owners of the property were more than hospitable in collecting me at the bus stop in Caerwys. The room was absolutely lovely. It is very difficult to find single accommodations on this scale. Everyone was more than helpful in making sure my stay there was pleasant. Wonderful people to... More

Penny and I arrived finally after getting lost! Mrs Price was most helpful and what a WOW factor when we drove down the long drive to Plas Penucha. Very warm welcome, lovely warm, snug, cosy bedroom. Excellent food and wine for evening meal and grand substantial breakfast. Most needed as we were walking the Offa's Dyke Path. Mrs Price took... More

What a wonderful find. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had a relaxing break. We were offered tea and biscuits on arrival which we enjoyed overlloking the magnificent garden. As we were in North Wales to walk part of Offa's Dyke we were very pleases to be offered a lift to our starting point in... More

This is a charming B&B. We stayed in the two en-suite rooms in the main house. The rooms themselves are fine & the panelled library, dining room & arts & crafts staircase are wonderful. The address is hard to find but the owner is very helpful & I would certainly stay here again.

The owner picked us up in Bodfari and took us back next day. We had a very good dinner in the evening. Breakfast very good as well.
