Enjoyed a nice midweek lunch here recently. The hotel is situated down a b-road, well off the beaten track, but with pretty scenery. There is an attractive restaurant and 2 bar areas. They had a good choice of local ales and a varied menu. I can recommend the gammon and chicken pie - very tasty. My partner enjoyed the scampi.... More

We stayed as a couple with our dog for two nights. The pub is set in the very remote village of Llarnarmon. We were greeted by a young girl on reception who was very helpful and gave us some ideas of where to walk during our stay. It's great that the pub takes dogs although the only downside with the... My husband and I stayed at the Hand Inn for two nights for a short break. The Inn is situated in the glorious vale of Dyffryn Ceiriog., in a small, charming village called Llanarmon. After arriving late afternoon we were greeted and shown into our sunny and spacious bedroom. The next couple of days were spent in enjoying the food... More

The hotel is ok but staff very good. The room was dated but large. Located in small town with a good parking. Good for a nights stay. Not much to do longer unless you leave town and visit the country side and other villages. The countryside is really nice and the people are cool.

Tucked away down a winding road the Hand is a lovely little place to stay with your dog. The rooms are very good and well appointed and we looked out onto a hill with sheep. The food was excellent and well cooked and presented. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed our stay

I've visited the hand on many occasions, and have never been disappointed. The food is to die for, everything is so fresh and locally sourced. Good selection of wines and ales. A real gem of a hotel that retains an Oldy worldly atmosphere. If your not planning to stay, just visit, it truly is in a beautiful location, with many... More

Just returned from a one night stay at The Hand and we were very impressed. The location is first class - if you are looking for somewhere off the beaten track The Hand really fits the bill. Eleven miles from the main road in a beautiful valley the only thing you are likely to hear at night are the sheep... More

What a delightful place this hotel is. The room (11) was spotless with a large bathroom and the little touches in this hotel really made it homely. The tea and coffee tray was overflowing with a variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolate. The biscuits were generous portions not the normal small offerings most hotels supply. The toiletries in the... More

Gives the impression of being set in the middle of nowhere!!! (but only 20/30mins from shops etc) There is only this and one other pub in the village. No shops etc. Perfect for a quite get away. Really quaint place to stay. Our room was located over the courtyard away from the main building and overlooked the rolling hills. Perfect.... More

We had a very pleasant stay here. The drive to the pub is scenic and very enjoyable. A log fire was burning in the main bar and the owners were present and chatting to customers. The bed was comfy with good pillows which always helps. Food was good and breakfast was one of the best presented we've had. The only... More
