Had a great evening celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary with family this weekend. The food was lovely and got us all into the festive spirit. Service was excellent and our room was very nice. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Fabulous hotel. Owners and staff very welcoming and helpful. Room was lovely, warm and clean with both a bath and shower. The bar had a lovely cosy log fire and the highlight was the meal in the evening. Absolutely delicious, stunning meals had by all of our party, vegetarians and us meat eaters! The only problem was so much choice,... More

Had a fantastic evening there last night and it's been a very long time since we last went. There were 12 in our party and we arrived for an early dinner and had pre dinner drinks in the bar while studying the very extensive menu, everything on it from bar meals to posh nosh !! I chose the Crispy Duck... More

A group of friends and myself stopped in the Hand for lunch after a morning of off-roading in the area. The food was really good, as was the service and welcome we recieved from the owners. It's a lovely 'olde world' pub with a big open fire, which was roaring away whilst we were there. A really nice place to... More

Decided to visit after our friends visited recently and had enjoyed it so much. We were not disappointed. Fabulous food and ambiance with the smell of wood burning on an open fire making it warm and cosy. We stayed over so we all could have a drink and relax. So glad we did. We discovered that The Hand is under... More

Great mountain biking on the doorstep in a true empty wilderness. Follow it up with superb beer and atmosphere at The Hand. We didn't eat or stay for the night but from what we saw in the bar it will be great and we will be back to stay next time. Village is lovely too.

A second visit after a break of 6 years did not disappoint. The Inn and its staff are super and as many have said is in a wonderful forgotten backwater of central Wales. Our room in the converted building at the back had a lovely bathroom and was spacious enough for the two of us and our dog. The food... More
