We arrived here in the week, it was much higher up a track road than we'd thought but we didn't mind that at all. We were greeted and taken to our room. It was a spacious room but a little shabby and dusty. I'm still unsure about the zip-loc beds! Two single beds zipped together to make a double/king. I'd... More

It is located at the end of a single track road. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, we stayed in Moelwyn a lovely very large room complete with a wood burning stove, as the weather was mild we were unable to take advantage of it. the bathroom was a good size with a jacuzzi bath which we both... Recently stayed for 2 nights. Expectations not met. Decor grubby in room, dated elsewhere. Sweat/grease stains on headboard and similar shabbiness throughout. Restaurant seems to be welll liked, however to my taste the products were a little too chefy (too many mis-matched flavour). Staff very pleasant however when I approched the owner regarding a problem I had she was quite... More

The hotel is set back from the road up a winding road into the hills. We arrived to a pleasant welcome and shown to our Room. Our room Glaslyn was quite large with a king size bed which turned out to be one off the most comfortable we had had in a hotel. The bathroom was well fitted with corner... More

My husband and I had lunch here with friends as it was one of our friends birthday. It was in a very peaceful setting up a quiet winding lane. The hotel was like a typical country house hotel, full of old world charm and friendly attentive staff. We were almost the only people there as it was a Monday. We... More

Such a beautiful building, we noticed it was up for sale, used to grow its own food for restaurant but has stopped this year as it was up for sale, so its a bit naughty to still advertise and show in the room it is home grown food etc. It may of had food awards 2012 but that would be... More

Stayed in the Hebog room in the coach house (so we could take the dog) in late October 2012. Welcome was functional. Room was OK - felt a little "tired", but did the job. Bed was comfortable. I had to think long and hard about this review and what to put - it is potentially a lovely family country house... More

Set up a winding lane, this place is a great base for a few days in the Harlech area. The public areas are warm and welcoming, the restaurant in particular is lovely and the food is lovely. The bedroom are a bit " tired" decor wise - but very comfortable and spacious. The bed was one of the most comfy... More

This was a two night stay purchased via a special offer voucher - and it was for us a real success. We loved the location - away from everywhere in the foothills close to Harlech. We were able to do a good 5 hour circular walk to the top from the hotel which gave us the most fabulous 360 panorama... More
