The setting is unique and truly fabulous. Quirky, different and a lot of fun. Overall there are many good and bad points about this place. Four of us stayed in the bunk room, and whilst my 3 friends would rate it 4 stars, I give it 3 for the following reasons: perhaps I expected too much, but I had thought... More

Just returned from a wonderful weekend staying in this great little B&B. As Alice says on her website this is a family home, with kids & dogs, communal living & eating spaces, and various family/friends/guests coming & going. We loved it! Our boys (9 & 12yrs) spent most of their time playing on the swing, zipwire, table tennis or playing... More

An interesting and enjoyable stay with Alice, the family, guests, helpers and pets ! We had use of a nice but slightly tired double room and bathroom which we shared with quite a number of other people plus the pet dog which had it's weekly shower in the bath just before I did ! A quite eccentric and a quirky... More

Stayed in St Curigs Church bunkhouse for a well earned weekend of walking/climbing in Snowdonia with a mate. We have stayed in many bunkhouses in this area, from converted barns to static caravans and was blown away by St Curig's... Wow what a place!! We can't believe we have missed this in all our years of visiting Wales! (Dammit!) Alice... More

Called in on the off chance as needed overnight accommodation and had passed this place many times. Warm welcome from Alice who gave me the choice of the bunk room or en-suite. Took a bed in the bunk room. Clean, comfortable and a good night's sleep. In the morning had breakfast in the family kitchen. Excellent!

I have stayed here twice in recent weeks. First of all by myself as I was on a course nearby. I loved it so much I returned with my wife for a second visit. The setting is stunning. The building is amazing as the chapel has many original features as well as being lovingly restored. The description of the family... More

Fabulous building, friendly owner, spectacular setting, comfortable bed; these are the positives. However there are some downsides; too many pets around including a cat in the kitchen, things not very clean (the room needed dusting, the ensuite bathroom mirror was dirty as was the bathroom bin etc.) and the breakfast was well cooked but a bit tasteless (cheap ingredients).

Stayed here for 2 nights with a couple of friends as a base for walking up Snowdon. Everything about Alice's place is what I dream of when I imagine the perfect B and B. A warm welcome, a beautiful building, lovely rooms and a fab breakfast. Thank you Alice, I have never been moved to write a review on Trip... More

Thanks Alice and team - we really enjoyed our stay in such a special property and great location for Snowdonia. A lovely mix of interesting hosts and guests. The breakfasts and knowledge of the area were excellent. We had a lovely sunset Llyn swim with bonus warm up in the hot-tub.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It’s probably true to say that there’s nowhere else quite like St Curig’s in North Wales. Ancient and modern stylishly combine in this B&B set within a 19th-century church in the mountain village of Capel Curig. Where else can you sleep beneath a carved stone pulpit, enjoy a hot tub under the stars or play table tennis beneath a fabulous 19th-century mosaic ceiling? And all with lovely views of Snowdonia’s mountains from every window… ... more   less
