We have stayed in the Colwyn bay area previously, but We keep going back to the West Point, The owners (Mick & Jan) are very friendly and will go out their way to help & assist in any way they can, Rooms are always clean and bright, beds comfortable, (ask the wife, tells me I snore) plenty of hot water... This is the first time I've stayed at the West Point Hotel and it was great. Very welcoming atmosphere. Easy to find and parking is available. Only 5 minutes walk from the town centre or the beach. Breakfast was well prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. The bed was comfortable and quiet in the room so I had a very good nights... More

If you are looking for a modern trendy hotel then this is probably not for you, however if you like old world charm, exceptional friendly and helpful service, a hotel that is clean, serves a wonderful cooked breakfast that, along with free parking, is included in the price and is well situated for touring most of North Wales, all at... This is the third time I have stayed at the West Point Hotel, cannot thank Jan and Mick enough for a lovely time, both of them will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay at West Point. I was appalled to read the unpleasant comments about Jan, She is a BRILLIANT LADY, that works hard.... More

The walk from the train station with luggage took us a good 25 minutes. It was easy to find with directions given by Jan via email. The young man who greeted us and brought us to our room upon our late arrival was very helpful and pleasant. I am sorry to not have asked for his name. We stayed in... More

Jan L, Owner at West Point Hotel, responded to this review

Due to the inaccurate and racist allegation directed at me I must respond to this spiteful and hurtful review. Firstly we are 700mtrs away from the railway station this walk is approximately 8mns, she was also told there is taxi service there. On arrival this guest went ballistic with our manager stating ‘‘why did we charge her credit card because... More

I stayed here for one night with 5 friends. The hotel is very clean and free WIFI is available throughout. I didn't have a breakfast although I was told by the rest of the group that it was of a high standard using good produce. Staff very pleasant too. A minor criticism would be the décor looks a bit dated... More

What a nice, clean family run hotel. Stayed for just the one night and was made to feel almost like part of the family. Many thanks from the rally team from M3motorsport, Kings Norton Garage and The Pallet Company.

I stayed here for two nights last week as I had to attend a funeral. The room was very nice, bed comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot. The staff were very friendly and I had no trouble finding somewhere to park. The breakfast was good, freshly cooked to order. It is quite near the promenade and also the... More

If I could put "Good" that is what the true rating should be. The only real criticism is the rather dated décor, although not untidy an update would do wonders. Jan and Mick are great hosts and do a very nice breakfast to boot. Ideally situated for touring anywhere in North Wales. All facilities are provided in the rooms with... More
