The four of us - 2 toddlers and 2 adults stayed in a family room, for £54 for a family room with a king size bed, a single and a cot, with breakfast, was excellent value for money. Lovely location with our room partially facing the sea, yes did get warm in the night but opened windows and took off... more

This was a last- minute trip for my husband and I for our wedding anniversary. We were looking for somewhere within driving distance that allows dogs. I booked online the day before for a double room and asked for a sea view. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly faces and I was happy to see that we were given... more

We stayed here for one night in February and I was disappointed as our family room definitely did not look like the pictures on their website. The bedding and curtains were a drab floral brown and the carpet red. When I pulled back the nylon bedspread I found blankets that had definitely seen better days. The basic double rooms (as... more

We spent four nights here in December 2007. The good: - The rooms have been nicely refitted - Right on the water front - Food well presented and generally of a good standard - Staff were in general, positive and helpful - Lovely big breakfast - Beds lovely, Tea and coffee in the room - Decent hot inside pool and... more

We stayed here after attending a Christmas function. Location isn't very attractive particularly on a wet December night. Room was pleasantly furnished but smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke. The remains of a takeaway meal had been left in the bathroom bin and there didn't seem to be any way to empty the sink. There was no bar service for... more

As a former resident of the Sandfields area of Port Talbot, I recently returned to the area for a family party and stayed for the first time at the Aberavon Beach hotel. I remember when the hotel was built, just as the popularity of Aberavon Beach was declining in the 1970s. Today the beach front is a more attractive with... more

This Hotel was really clean and all the rooms have just been decorated. We had a family room which was a lovely size, two single beds and a double bed with en suite. The breakfast was great and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I needed to get to town and reception copied me a map with all... more

The rear of the hotel is a bit grim but we had a room overlooking the beach/sea gorgeous view!! The room itself was average, pillows good but bed v shaped so i spent the night really close to my partner! Everything was clean if a little basic. What made it well worth the money was a breakfast that surpassed many 5*... more

This hotel is fine for a business conference as it has at least one large board room with smaller break-out rooms. It is also clean and presentable inside with clean and adequate bedrooms with en-suite bath/shower and toilet. I particularly enjoyed the small warm swimming pool and sauna. What I had for dinner was the traditional meat and vegetables style,... more
