Not the kind of person to normally bother with reviews, but I have to state that this guesthouse is as good as it gets. Having stopped at many establishments on out trek along the Welsh coastal path-Merwerryd is just off the track before the bustle of Newquay going north to south-we arrived very tired but were invigorated by the welcome... Thank you so much for your comments it really cheers up to get such positive reviews. Its always great to welcome walkers, this part of the coastal path network is particularly beautiful and we hope the rest of your walk was as good. Hope to see you again - perhaps to relax and put your feet up next time!! Best... More

We stayed in the Red kite room which was very nice, clean comfortable. The plus side was the ceiling fan which enabled us to have a goodnights sleep as it was so quiet. i was so impressed i asked bill and lynn where they got it from. They are a very nice welcoming couple and i hope to return soon. Nothing... More

My husband and I needed a one night stay for our daughters graduation from Aberystwyth University, my daughter recommended Aberaeron as a lovely scenic place to stay. We were held up and arrived at midnight but the hosts were very accommodating. The room was spacious and the en suite had a bath and separate shower. After a great nights sleep... More

The Merwerydd Guest House is set in a beautiful location and has fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. It is only a five minute drive to Aberaeron and about ten minutes from the lovely sandy beach at New Quay. The rooms are finished to a high standard and the hosts (Lynn and Bill) couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. Bill... More

The room we stayed in was the Red Kite room which was on the ground floor at the front of the property. The room was clean and had a good shower in the ensuite although most annoying was a timed switch which put you in the dark while halfway through a shower. The bed we did not find comfortable, too... With temperatures circa 30 degrees it did get very hot during your stay, during the height of the school holidays, but the state of the art silent fan above your bed is there just for that reason, to keep you cool, so I'm sorry you did not use it.. The coast road does have lots of bends, that's one of... More

The hosts were easy company. The breakfast was pleasant and ample available. My wife and I stayed in the twin room with distant views of the sea and rolling landscape. The driveway entrance to the accommodation is situated on a bend in the road. It keeps you on your toes when driving the car out of the driveway. The ceilings... More

We stayed on 19th June, we hadn't made any accommodation arrangements in Aberaeron and a couple that were suggested were full, fortunately we went to the tourist office and they suggested and booked Merwerydd...how lucky were we. Lyn was very welcoming friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Everything was great, accommodation, bed, bathroom, breakfast. The views from the... More

Friendly welcoming owners. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with excellent bathroom. Lovely views from the property out to the coast. The breakfast was excellent and I would recommend anyone to stay here if visiting this scenic coast.
