We have stayed here a couple of time when visiting family in the area and we always come away happy. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the bar food is great value. Will continue to book when we're down in the area :)

Went for a night away as a group Of 6. The staff were helpful and the room was clean and large... Great view of the harbour. Slightly disappointed there was no steak for the mixed grill but the manager changed the basic steak for Sirloin ... Reasonably priced drinks and food and enjoyed really well... The location was great too... More

Stayed for 1night. Ate in restaurant. Food was appalling couldn't eat the chicken. It was dried up from being reheated. We didn't stay for breakfast. Couldn't face the restaurant again. The heating didn't work. The room was grubby. The toilet holder was hanging off the wall. The toilet brush was disgusting. The shower gel dispenser has never been cleaned. We... More

I cannot find a way to contact S.A.Brain & Co. so I have to explain my situation here... My stay was fine until the morning we were leaving. The Wi-Fi connection was very good, the room was comfortable and clean, and it was quiet throughout the night. When we arrived we were told by the chap at reception (the bar)... More

Just back from Aberaeron after a 2 night stay at the Monachty. The inn is ideally situated on the harbour and the centre of town. I booked a double with view and was not disappointed. The room was clean and tidy , en-suite adequate for short stay. The breakfast is really good. The inn is a busy pub and restaurant but... More

I asked here for a room and was told by the bar staff that they did have a twin room but in all fairness had to let me know they had a party in that night which was expected to be loud and last until late. I thought this was fair warning and looked elsewhere. We returned later for food... More

Average room which was warm and clean with fresh towels and tea & coffee facilities. A little noisy due to the extractor fan outside although receptionist asked us if we wanted it turning off it wouldn't be a problem. Lovely village with picturesque harbour. Enjoyable breakfast and evening meal.

We paid £60 and were unfortunately given room 2 - a room with a view of the alleyway beside the kitchen & rooftop which was home to cooing pigeons - with the expel air from the kitchen pumping disgusting fumes directly outside our window and groaning from 8 am- 11pm Tired and grubby shower and carpets that hadn't been vacuumed... Monachty is a busy pub with rooms. Its in a great location, just on the harbourside and near to anywhere you need to go to in town. The rooms (I stayed in R2) are basic and a bit tired and at £60 per night (over the bank-holiday weekend), a bit pricey for what they are. Good breakfast, although the staff... More
