It was a nice hotel, Great location, fairly priced, but they did nothing to disperse pan handlers from disturbing the guests. The rooms were very nice. They could have been cleaner, especially the beds. Had to ask for new sheets (didn't seem clean - by my standards). Have valet parking for $20/day. Connected to a TGI Fridays - also services... more

We had some extra HHonors points and decided to take a weekend trip to Memphis in September. We chose the Doubletree because of its downtown location. The interior is like that of an Embassy Suites, the high lobby with the rooms ringing around it. It was very stylish, pulling from the Blues/Rock & Roll history of Memphis. The rooms were... more

The Doubletree staff are so pleasant that, if the hotel even half matched that, it would be a great experience. Sadly, not so. Check-in was quick and efficient. Happiness with rooms seems to depend largely on location. Low floors are noisy. Some rooms are near main elevators or service elevator which can be very bad. High floors seem better. My... more

I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the past few years for work. It has a great location next to the ballpark, FedEx center and near the 'active' part of downtown Memphis. They do a solid breakfast out of the TGIF's downstairs. Rooms were remodeled in late 2008, they are well appointed with great beds, although they... more

A very respectable hotel well-positioned just a few blocks from the real draw for the city - Beale Street. It is adjacent to the Greyhound station and our room overlooked it but we heard no noise whatsoever. The room was clean and comfortable and did what it said on the tin. The warm cookies on check-in were a nice touch... more

I was pleasantly surprised at our recent stay. I read many of these reviews and was a bit worried. Check in took awhile, it was quite busy, maybe 1/2 hour wait. The hallway was a bit worn and dated but our room, #523 (I think), was great. Carpet did not look worn in the room. Bathroom was clean. Furniture was... more

This is a downtown hotel with a downtown price and a recognizable name, so expectations tend to be fairly high. In some ways it's good, but overall it left me cold. The location is across from the minor-league ballpark, a couple of blocks from Beale Street, and about a half-mile from the convention center. Needless to say there are a... more

We stayed at the Doubletree for 2 nights. The room was very small and cramped for the price. The light on the bedside table would not turn off because the switch was missing. The window was filthy, and the blind was broken would not stay up unless tied! No fridge or microwave were available for our room. The bed was... more

The Hotel was disgusting and staying there has resulted in serious health concerns. First, upon arrival to the room, the room never had any towels what so ever. The room never got below 88 degrees. Upon receipt of the towel, which took an hour, they were damp. Next, the one night stay resulted in numerous bites all on my legs... more

I've never seen worse service at any hotel in my life. I was in town for a wedding and did not get to fully enjoy my stay as my experience at the hotel was ruined. As I arrived I was greeted by a very rude valet driver. Before getting ready for my wedding, my power went out and I contacted... more
