If you want a budget hotel in downtown Memhpis this is the place to go. Hotel itself is nothing fancy but the room is spacious and clean and plenty of free parking space is available. Beale Street is just a small walk away and if you don't mind a stroll you can walk to the Loraine Motel and Sun Studios... More

WE stayed November 7-8 needs major renovations. Hotel staff was very nice. We went down to see Beale Street and did not stay in the room that much. For the price you can't beat it. But if you are planning on staying more then a couple of days spend the extra money and stay at a nicer place.

Don't expect much. My husband and I chose this hotel because of price and location. We knew we wouldn't be spending time in our hotel, so we didn't want to spend a bunch of money on that. If we were staying ore than two days, his wouldn't be a place I would stay. The rooms aren't filthy, but I wouldn't... More

Just a five minute walk from Beale street with onsite parking (for $10 24hr in/out priviliges) makes this a convenient budget choice. I wasn't too sure when we first pulled up but once we got up to our room I felt comfortable enough. The room was spacious and clean, but as others have said, it is a little run down.... More

We stayed here for a couple of nigths during a vacation wiht our children. The place seems worn down and need some update. Anyway the service was fine, breakfast o.k. and the location was perfect and close to some of the location we should visit in this area.

My hubby and I were doing a 4 week trip through the US, and we had splashed out on a few places already (New York, Cancun, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Las Vegas), so for some places, and Memphis is one of them, we went for a cheaper option to balance the budget. It wasn't a great start when we arrived,... More

Three women - two double beds and a TINY, dirty old bathroom/toilet with no extracter fan... dirty old carpets and bath; only two chairs, and dirty walls and trim... what more could we want in the middle of Memphis??? !!! I stayed there 4 years ago, and didn't think it was that bad, but this time it has really deteriorated.... More

Well you do get what you pay for. When we got out of the lift we all thought the same. My god what have we booked. Tired would be an understatement on the condition of the corridors and the lighting. Doesn't look like it has seen a coat of paint since the 50's. The room was a bit better although... More

You can not go wrong with this Econa Lodge. Staff are friendly, helpful....I rang from England asking all kinds of questions e.g. breakfast menu, weather forecast, how far from Beale Street, etc and each time they took time to answer. And getting a cab?.....they'll sort you out. In fact the staff will sort out anything you ask.....Brilliant Room was big... More
