Loved The Peabody! Amazing service culture displayed by every level of associate. Fabulous ambiance, southern charm with up to date modern amenities. Lots to do within walking distance...... and there are the ducks! i was there on business, definitely going back for a family weekend. I highly recommend.

So, it's not some sleek new modern hotel, okay? It's the Peabody Hotel! The PEABODY. You stay here and pay these prices because it's the Peabody. Tastefully decorated rooms with comfy beds that could be in any "nicer" hotel with, yes, small bathrooms in keeping with the age of this historic building...but the history, the ambience, even the duck march...THAT'S... This is a fantastic hotel with excellent location and a lobby that will overwhelm you. But rooms vary and of course so do rates. I would come back in a minute for the hospitality, food, and atmosphere. But if you are staying for awhile, don't hesitate to check rooms out. I had an impossibly small bathroom - not a big... More

Doug Weatherford is not only a private walking tour guide, he is also one of the Duckmasters at the Peabody. We had front row seats at the March of the Ducks and then he proceeded to give us a tour of the hotel and the "Duck Palace" on the roof. After the Peabody tour, we walked through the area best... Apparently this is a great slice of "history"... although it was built in 1925 so it hardly counts as historic, but it sure looks nice. Anyhow the lobby is a grand old place and has a nice enough atmosphere. The ducks thing seems all a bit hackneyed to me now, but anyhow that wasn't the issue. The service was "stark"... More

Very well kept historic hotel. Lobby area/lounge is beautifully restored to original grandeur. Room was spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The gym was large and functional. The only thing missing for me was coffee in the room.

Bring some poison for the brown recluse spiders. Got my 75 year old mother a peabody house coat out of the closet in the room and a poison brown recluse spider was crawling on it when I handed to her. Threw it down on the floor and called security and front desk. They came up took pictures and started to... More

This is just a Great Hotel to say at and to enjoy all of the nostalgia. There aren't many like this left in the Midwest area. We had heard about this from friends who had stayed there and were not disappointed. I would put this on your list, it won't disappoint you.

The best part of my 4 night stay was the staff. They were friendly and helpful and seemed truly interested in the guests. There were several things to keep me from rating this higher. My reservation had been made on Jan 24 for 2 beds. When I arrived, 4/1, I was told there were no more rooms with 2 beds... More

We spend 3 nights last week. We got a nice deal using Priceline's express deals. I've stayed at many upscale hotels in the U.S. and the Peabody is a great value considering the location, history, and the many amenities that it provides to the guests. I think management is doing a great job!!! Our check-in was flawless and every employee... More
