The hotel is beautiful and full of southern charm. Check in was quick and efficient. The lobby is gorgeous. The ducks are a huge attraction. Our room was small, but nice. The bathroom was small and we had problems with the tub draining and shower running hot and cold. The linens were high quality, however, the mattress topper on the... more

Our group of 16 were all disappointed in the Peabody as a whole. It certainly had a beautiful lobby and good restaurants but our enjoyment stopped there. Each year we travel to a different city and stay in 4 or 5 star hotels. Many of the features of these hotels were lacking at the Peabody. It began with our arrival. There... more

We are extremely disappointed to hear about your experience. Because we expect top level service from all of our staff, we take these complaints very seriously. A complete renovation of all guest rooms was finished in 2006, so it concerns us to hear about your room. I apologize for the confusion regarding your boarding passes. FedEx is not across the...

Enjoyed everything about the Peabody. Great location, staff very helpful, rooms small but very nicely appointed. Only a couple of complaints -- $10 per night charge for hotel services, i.e. interntet, health club, even if you don't use them. This really adds up for a multi night stay and I didn't use the services. Also, bathrooms are pretty, but very... more

I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed everything about your stay. Thank you for the compliments about our helpful staff. I will make sure to pass along your comments. We appreciate the feedback on the bathroom. I'm sorry it wasn't what you expected. Because of the historic nature of the building, all the guest rooms and bathrooms vary in size. We...

My husband decided on the spur of the moment to fly down to Memphis and visit Graceland, the Civil Rights Museum, Sun Records, and Stax. We stayed at the Peabody in downtown Memphis. What a wonderful experience we had. The food was out of this world, and the accomodations made us feel like a king and queen. The room was... more

We were thrilled to hear about the bathroom passing your Lysol test. As always, we truly appreciate your feedback. Kind Regards, Management

Avoid the Peabody. The hotel was the single disappointment in a great wedding weekend for my fiance' and myself. The fees and room charges are characteristic of a sleezy resort instead of a 5 star hotel... I will never stay there again. more

We were in tennessee holidaying at my cousins home for 2 weeks, incidentally her house is beautiful, and compared with the Peabody Hotel, her house is a palace, The Peabody Hotel is famous for its resident ducks, since the 1900's they are marched to the fountain in the lobby am, and then back to their duck palace every eveing, and crowds... more

Thank you for choosing The Peabody Memphis as your hotel of choice. I’m glad you saw the famous March of The Peabody Ducks. It’s a tradition we are proud of. Love the duck picture you posted. We are concerned about your experience at the front desk. I apologize for the poor customer service, as it is not the way we...

“The Peabody Memphis” is an historical landmark and definitely a place that everyone should visit when in Memphis, but it is OVERRATED and OVERPRICED. Our room was not ready when we arrived, and the receptionist told us that she could not call our cell phone because we had an international number (we live in Europe)—we were shocked that a four-star... more

My fiance and I booked The Peabody via Hotwire and we were very pleased with the rate we got. After being in the car for several hours we were excited to get to the hotel. The hotel was beautiful and had an awesome location. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was tiny! Even though it was tiny it... more

Loved this hotel. This was the first place we stayed when we arrived in the US. As soon as we walked in the lobby we were delighted.... it's amazing. Real old style class. We had a deluxe room which was a pretty good size actually, and very nicely done. You really feel special to be staying in the Peabody. The... more
