I made reservations to stay at this hotel two-three weeks prior to the date. Upon arrival, the front guest clerk said that they couldn't get my credit card to go through for the pre-approval and they had cancelled my reservation. No one had bothered to call or email me to confirm card number or get an alternate card. I was... More

We only came for one night but the combination of how great Memphis was and how great this hotel was meant we ended up staying for 3. Excellent quality. Clean, spacious and good value. Having continually extended our stay we saw rooms 108, 110 and 308. All are clean and spacious. The guy who runs it was been great. It's... More

This family run motel was a great value if you want a room near downtown Memphis. It is located near the popular venues downtown. It was a large clean room with a sitting area, flat screen TV, a nice breakfast and the parking is right in front of your room. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. We would definitly... My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our road trip. After reading earlier reviews we were quite anxious about the neighbourhood and have to agree that the surrounding area is quite seedy. Having said that though, we had absolutely no problems with our stay. The room was large and clean, the car park area has... More

If you're looking for an inexpensive room in Memphis that is clean and safe, this it! The rooms are huge and very nicely decorated. Although the area of town is a little desolate, the vast majority of Memphis is like this. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it is located within a short drive to Beale Street and Graceland.... More

We drove though the outskirts of Memphis, down a long and rather seedy road. With each block, we were hoping the neighborhoods would improve. They did not. The outside of the place looked extremely ghetto, with its bright orange doors. Once we were inside, we were pleasantly surprised! Clean room with a clean smell. The place looked modern and remodeled.... More

I had read previous reviews of this hotel on this website, so I felt comfortable to stay here. I was a single woman, traveling alone. When I pulled up to the hotel around 1 pm, I saw the neighborhood was NOT in a good part of town at all. My fears began to build, then as I pulled up to... More

This was a great place centrally located near downtown ($8.00 cab fare each way). The room was very large and very clean, but the outstanding feature of this place was the staff and management. They went out of their way to accommodate us, they made us feel welcome. The immediate area looked scary upon arrival, however our concerns were unwarranted,... More

I love that Rodeway Inn is strategically located in the middle of town. A few miles away from Downtown and other tourist locations. Though the neighborhood looked scary, it was safe. The parking lot had CCTV just in case something happens. The room was HUGE and clean. If you are staying in Memphis for a couple of days on tour,... More

We are a family of five and so hotels often can be expensive. Rodeway offered us a VERY large room with two queens and a pull out couch for $85/night. The location is perfectly central for tourists. The exterior is old style but internally everything has been updated and we will return. I docked one star for the breakfast. It... More
