We met a local in Nashville before we arrived in Memphis and they were horrified that we were staying in this part of town. It gave me the willies and when we arrived the outside was awful with the pool filled with green sludge. However inside the large room was clean and habitable. It was perfectly adequate for three nights... More

We were worried from the outside appearance, but the room is spacious, clean, and everything works fine. It's easy to maneuver to downtown/Beale Street from the hotel and there are a couple grocery stores and a Walgreens not too far away. The hotel offers free WiFi, but that's about it as far as amenities go. The breakfast isn't really what... More

My wife and I booked a room here around 9:00pm one evening during the week of Thanksgiving, and we were lucky enough to get a King on the first floor. We chose Rodeway based on other reviews and were pleasantly surprised at both the size of the room and the quality of our stay. I would estimate the rooms to... More

I had 5 days in memphis and the hotel fitted the bill ok. Realy big room was impressive.. helpfull staff..clean room. They met my prior request for top floor (3rd) ,end room. Breakfast was not too flash, but thats par for course. Handy to bus into downtown. close to Sun studios. quiet area. about 3 mile from downtown.

Spent 2 nights here. I agree with other reviewers - the outside looks rundown, but the inside with clean and large. My only gripe is that most TV channels didn't work, but I wasn't here to watch TV all day so it was only a minor complaint. Breakfast was basic and I'm pretty sure the donuts were left over from... I'm still staying here currently and the hotel room in itself is fine. It's adequate for what is required (just storing my stuff and sleeping) The is a small leak in the top right corner of the room from the AC but other than that, the room is great for a cheap stay. The area however is less than desirable.... More

I didn't expect too much as it looks a bit rundown from the outside but inside the room was very clean, large, well-furnished and neatly put together. Fridge, microwave, decent TV, desk, lots of room, comfortable bed. The staff is very friendly and accessible. Even though it's near a hospital I didn't hear any noise at night and slept soundly,... We were a little skeptical about the hotel because of the area of town, but surprisingly, it was wonderful. The area was quite, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the room was clean, the breakfast was adequate, and we enjoyed our stay. We had our grandkids and it was close to tons of stuff to do. We will certainly go back.

We stayed based on reviews and so we knew it wasn't going to look fancy on the outside. Once we walked in we were surprised at how big the room was. Everything was clean and comfy. Decor is could use some help but when we visit places we are not in the room much anyways. It was easy to get... More

The owners here proudly display their great rating from Trip Advisor and they deserve it. The rooms are very clean and the owners really go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Next time we're in Memphis, we stay here again. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and fantastic value. What's not to love?
