Only a short stop for a brunch , but what a great place . On the bank of the river garry , which can be reached with a short walk . What about the view from the window of the library .... fantastic . And our sandwich with beef ; sublime when accompanied by this landscape . The next time... More

This hotel has many features that make it a nice base when visiting the highlands. It is amongst the beautiful line of lochs, it is close to Loch Ness and several heritage castles. It is a moderate drive to the Isle of Skye with the amazing scenery along the way. the grounds are pastoral and relaxing. The restaurant delivers good... More

What can I say...perfect locale, truly serene. What a magical place, the hotel was stunning, the grounds lush. Staff were so warm & friendly. The food was delicious, loved waking up to a Glengarry breakfast. Was a real shame to have to leave. If you're looking for a secluded getaway, this is the place to go!!!

We spent two nights in this lovely old hotel. The staff are great and service was outstanding. Room was smallish but comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight, set in a beautiful dining room over looking the gardens with a Loch in the near distance. The surrounding area is epic with some of the best driving roads anywhere .... There is a... More

Just a fantastic break on our trip to Skye! A friend recommended this and we decide to have a coffee here. Scones, sandwiches, cakes... Presented just in a superb way in the library. The building is fantastic, even the bathroom... ;-) Make a stroll to the waterside (for some pictures) .

We had a wonderful stay at Glengarry Castle Hotel. Although the building has old world charm, it is totally up to date in furnishings and fixtures. The food was good, especially afternoon tea. The service was very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Great hotel. The manager/owner was a font of MacDonnell information, some of which was really amazing. Food and service we're exemplary, and the room was very clean and comfy. The grounds were beautiful and well manicured, and there were sheep grazing in a fenced pasture, a dozen or more nearly newborn lambs among them.

...but it gave us a feel for the place. We wandered up the path after mooring our little houseboat a the nearby quay. The lady at reception was very friendly and took our order for coffee, scone and shortbread, to be served in the library. We sat in comfy old chairs with a view through the drizzle down to the... Enjoyed our stay and service first class. Staff all friendly and helpful and could not fault the food. Half board good value for the money and reasonable wine list. Well located for the west Highlands and west coast of Scotland. Very comfortable hotel in a secluded setting with the ruins of old Glengarry Castle within the site. Only thing that... More
