This hotel is in a great location to see Nessie, sits on the water and has a castle ruin on its property. The hotel building is the size of an old manor house but its exterior is castle-like. If you appreciate old world you will love it. The food in the dining room was very good, we stayed one night... More

We stayed over for one evening. The room was fit for a king and a queen. We had a three course meal in the dining room. Reasonably priced. Food and service was great. There is a small footpath to Loch Ness, watch out for moss, very slippery. The scenery at the bottom is breathtaking. You can also go for a... More

Beautiful setting for our 20th anniversary! We arrived on our anniversary day so we decided to stay at the castle for dinner and it was excellent. The dining room is formal which I liked and had a great view of the grounds. The food was delicious and they were able to accomodate my gluten allergy. Coffee is taken in one... More

The Glengarry was a nice hotel in an old manner house, very much like other reviews have described. Unfortunately for us, we arrived after dark and left in the morning before the breakfast, so did not get to see or take advantage of all it offered. Service was outstanding, we arrived late and were fully accommodated, dinner reservations were made... More

Overall a nice property, conveniently located to explore the highlands, but probably overpriced. The room was 'nicely' furnish, but a bit tired and the mattress was terrible.. probably the worst i've slept on in my life. The bathroom was enormous, but sparsely furnished with no bench space for your items. Bins weren't all emptied each day, which is a bit... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. We wanted to stay at a real castle hotel and make it a base to explore the surrounding areas. Having traveled to different parts of the world, we've had good reference points to judge hotels. The Glengarry Castle Hotel is amongst the very few hotels that exceeds our expectation. The location is excellent to... More

We travel twice a year to the isle of Harris and are always looking for a suitable place to break our journey,at last of years of trying different hotels and locations we have found the ideal hotel. Location possibly a little far north but that is compensated by the hotel itself, suburb surroundings ,excellent food and drink and the service was... More

The hotel is at the end of long driveway after passing a gate house and the old historic Castle. The entrance is an unmarked door facing the parking lot. It is really the small touches that make your stay here enjoyable. Like silver plated cutlery on the table for dinner and breakfast and the fireplaces keeping you warm while you... More

Location is excellent. The rooms we had (no 2 & 18) were brilliant with views down to the lock. Breakfast was first class and evening meals probably the best we have had in Scotland (3 of the 4 of us vegetarians). Cannot praise this hotel enough.
