All in all excellent. Rooms need a bit of updating furniture. Staff at the reception exceptionally helpful. Staff in restaurant outstanding, although not completely professional, they go out of their way, food excellent. The location is really romantic, beautifully set on the Loch with views downhill which are breathtaking! The mist early morning on the Loch brings you back to... More

We stayed at the Glengarry Castle Hotel mid May 2014. Really enjoyed our stay. The building was quaint and the exterior looked like something out of a movie. The staff was friendly and helpful. We upgraded to a mid-level room and it was wonderful: Large, Clean and well appointed. The grounds were great for a stole (except for a few... More

The Glengarry Castle Hotel is located in the beautiful little village of Invergarry, in the Scottish Highlands. It consists of an old (but very well kept) grand country house, overlooking a loch, and with its own small forest. It has even got a small castle tower - although this is closed to the public, as it is in ruins. The... More

A stay at the Glengarry Castle Hotel is a wonderful experience. The setting is beautiful, right on a Loch. The Hotel itself is a little dated, not accessible but in the grand style of country living. The rooms are large and airy. The views are lovely. Our room looked out to the fields with sheep grazing. The food was excellent... More

We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the slightly old fashioned hospitality. The staff were great - how nice not to have the slick chain hotel comments, but genuine interest! They were also very welcoming to our dog, who was fed the odd tit bit and felt totally relaxed (as far as we could tell). Food was good, our... More

My favorite of the four hotels we stayed at during our visit to Scotland. Stayed for two nights and wish it had been longer. This is a lovely country inn in a lush, peaceful setting. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. We loved the food--fresh, well prepared, elegantly served. Comfy common rooms with books and games... More

Only stayed for one night but it was very enjoyable, very friendly helpful staff, clean comfy rooms, food excellent especially the breakfast. Had a couple of nice walks in the grounds, managed to avoid the midgies and the rain during our stay.

Absolutely stunning hotel with beautiful furnishings. Our 4 poster room was magnificent, large , airy, and opulently furnished with fantastic views of loch Oich. Nice public rooms and attentive staff. Disappointed with menu which was unimaginative with limited choices. Vegetables were very simple verging on boring! Food itself was ok but expected better from such an otherwise great hotel. Breakfast... More

Excellent stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms wonderful. Food divine. Top notch service. Would thoroughly recommend staying here. It's worth every penny. An excellent base for Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye.

Billed a castle, it is more stately home, but that is the style in Scotland. The house and grounds are immaculately maintained, the public rooms in particular are excellent and have a real feel of a period country house. The bedroom we were in although faultlessly maintained was slightly oddly decorated, the tiles in the immaculate bathroom were sort of... More
