The Glengarry has always been a warm, friendly and welcoming place to stay and it has managed to retain its charm and consistent high standards that we have come to expect. Although there have been some very subtle changes over the years, these only add to the experience. It truly is a place where nothing is too much trouble, hence... More

This was a rare occasion when a random selection of a stop for refreshment was a memorable success. North of Spean Bridge we were hungry and thirsty but had not been impressed but the options for lunch so far. The sign for the hotel was not that impressive either. The drive down to the hotel was quite narrow and dark... More

This was a beautiful place to stay and we would definitely come back. The location is absolutely fabulous, you feel like you are away from it all & in the heart of the stunning Scottish scenery. We loved the beauty and peace of the place. Being on the Loch was also a highlight and the views from the main rooms... More

What a beautiful hotel, and an amazing location! It was so exciting for us to be able to stay in a castle, we were travelling on a budget but splurged to stay at Glengarry - but compared to some of the other castles we looked at Glengarry was very affordable! The drive the the main castle/hotel is beautiful, and passed... More

There was a long impressive tarmac drive to the country house. It was very impressive inside too with beautiful views from the lounge, dining room and library. You can walk around the grounds, down to the Loch Oich then alongside the water to the ruined castle. There is also a short walk along the river Garry. The set 4 course... More

If you're looking for exciting night life then this would not be the place to go, but Glengarry Castle was lovely and genuine. The room was large by European standards and the bathroom had a shower and seperate tub for a nice long hot soak. There were gathering rooms, coffee out, drinks in the evening and beautiful grounds to tromp... More

For a number of years now we always end our (self catering) family holiday in the Highlands with a visit to Glengarry. Once again it didn't disappoint, even the slightly feral children seem to appreciate this is a civilised place. Once again I promised myself one time I will come back and stay - this time I really intend to... More

Great place to stay - nice rooms, helpful and welcoming staff, great food and a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails in the study and then a great hike after our meal. Glengarry is close to a lot of sights in the highlands, but also far enough that you get away from it all. Highly recommended.

Only a short stop for a brunch , but what a great place . On the bank of the river garry , which can be reached with a short walk . What about the view from the window of the library .... fantastic . And our sandwich with beef ; sublime when accompanied by this landscape . The next time... More

This hotel has many features that make it a nice base when visiting the highlands. It is amongst the beautiful line of lochs, it is close to Loch Ness and several heritage castles. It is a moderate drive to the Isle of Skye with the amazing scenery along the way. the grounds are pastoral and relaxing. The restaurant delivers good... More
