A very charming hotel set on a Loch . Booked on recommendation of my brother . The gardens surrounding hotel were wonderful with large mature tree. Trunks covered in moss giving the trunks a "lord of the rings " feel Staff were very helpful and the dinner and breakfast were delicious . A lovely stay .

We first stayed at this hotel 33 years ago and returned last week for a romantic overnight stay. We found the hotel offers a timeless elegance and exceptionally good service. The room was very well appointed with a 4 poster bed and lovely view of the loch. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The food was first class,... More

I found this place on TripAdvisor and it definitely lived up to the reviews. I booked it well before my trip and they were kind enough to let me know right before my trip that they we going to run a special during my stay so I could take advantage of it. I appreciate them being proactive for someone who... More

We spent one night in June in this lovely hotel. It's a really quiet place and ideal for a stopover during your Scotland Tour. Food was excellent!! Also breakfast but personally i rather prefer a buffet in the morning. Its a place to be! Even if you only spend one night! Very Good

This is a charming hotel with very efficient staff. We had a lovely double room with a view of the loch. Our room had plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. There are 2 spacious rooms that look out onto the lawns and down to the loch where you can sit, have a drink, read etc. The whole atmosphere... More

Stayed hear for a night in our annual road trip. Everything was amazing from the staff, to the food, to the bedroom and location. The loch is about 50 steps from the back door! Lovely historical and traditional place. Also dinner was amazing and breakfast tasty. Highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

As three couples travelling together we arrived with high expectations having read previous reviews and were impressed driving through the grounds. Unfortunately at reception there was obviously a problem concerning other guests so we were met with a much less than welcoming greeting. In fact we felt as if it was all rather inconvenient - I'm sure this wasn't intentional... More

As a MacDonald of Glengarry this place has an immediate attraction, a bit diminished as you drive by the old castle ruins – not much better than the Clan Donald ruins nearby. This is compensated by the friendliness and homelike quality of the entire exercise. Good people in the dining room gave us all sorts of advice on our next... More

Only a one night stay but the house and grounds were lovely. You really can imagine you have stepped back to a bygone era and you are the privilege guest of the lord of the manner. Beautifully maintained our room was clean, large and wonderfully decorated. So peaceful and a very comfortable bed. The dinner was fine with great service.... More

This is a lovely hotel. It is in lovely grounds, that go right down to Loch Oich. My partner had damaged his knee. There is not a lift, so we upgraded to a superior room for the first night and the deluxe room for the second night. Both rooms were lovely, but the deluxe, naturally, had the edge. We could...
