A delightful find and a great two day break. We loved this B & B which is so much more as the restaurant was a delicious dining experience. The views are spectacular and the staff so friendly and helpful.

We only wanted a snack. We had delicious Cullen Skink soup followed by delicious carrot cake and ice cream. Not overly priced and the staff were lovely. Nice cosy restaurant, clean toilets and in a lovely location. We were blessed with a lovely sunny day too.

What a wonderful find tucked away on the coast in the beautiful peaceful location by the harbour. Our room overlooked this gorgeous setting out to the islands of Rum and Eigg. The Lodge is in fact a restaurant with rooms. The food was perfect..daily fresh produce beautifully cooked . The rooms comfortable and quiet, if you are not overlooking the... More

We visited and stayed here by accident friends were in the area and we booked late and were accommodated in a room away from the main building which was well appointed clean and spacious. The proprietors Mags & Alan and staff were friendly helpful and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was the best it could be. The... More

We stayed here two nights, and also ate at the restaurant on one of those nights. Dinner was very tasty, as was breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful and went beyond the call of duty to assist us. Our only complaint would be the smell of the kitchen, which permeates the restaurant as well as the rooms (we... We stayed one night in the three star Old Library Lodge and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is excellent, right on the seafront with superb views over to the islands. Room was comfortable and clean, with an en-suite shower room, large double bed and tea/coffee facilities. Dinner was extremely enjoyable, of a far higher standard than one would... More

Spent three nights at The Old Library Lodge. We were in the annexe at the back of the restaurant. Large bedroom with bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Fabulous breakfast, especially the full Scottish breakfast, with black pudding and haggis. Staff very attentive and helpful. Good location, not far from Mallaig, where you can get the ferry to the Isle of... More

Recently heard it had changed hands again and was well recommended. Certainly an excellent location overlooking Arisaig bay and Marina, met the chef who was knowledgeable and in tune with seasonal cooking and had very friendly local staff. Menu was lovely and produced simple, well prepared and interesting dishes in a very convivial full restaurant. Certainly one of the best... More

Great location, service, food and atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in The Library from start to finish off with coffees outside. Nice people who care about your needs. Would certainly use it again when next in the area.

Four of us stayed for one night here on our way to Skye. We were in rooms 5 and 6 - both of which had fabulous views overlooking the water and both rooms also had very comfortable beds. We ate dinner in the restaurant - the choice on the menu was not enormous and we thought it was slightly more... More
