The location of this hotel is simply stunning. We booked a 'highland lodge' deal on Groupon without thinking to much about where it was. It was a lengthy drive from Aberdeen but once you get past Inverness the roads, scenery etc is simply stunning. You carve through glens, past lochs, see all kinds of beasties.. The lodge itself is set... More

This majestic country hotel offers a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Scottish countryside. We arrived for a weekend break by train from Inverness and walked about 500 metres from the Achnasheen station to the hotel. We were given a large room with a four-poster bed. The view from the windows is amazing. At dusk we saw a... More

Very friendly staff, delicious scones and tea in a warm and comfortable sitting room with all the attributes of a great Highland hotel. What more could we have wanted! Excellent and highly recommended.

After a hectic week and many hours of travel by air and car we finally arrived at Ledgowan. The place is magic, it is almost as if any sound or noise is drained by the immense areas of open space. Inside with plush carpets it is almost the same. Suffice to say, we loved the place - great outdoors, wonderful hotel... More

We were on a sightseeing tour of the area by coach and the company had booked us into this hotel for a coffee & biscuit break. First impressions were favourable; great building, interesting furnishings and great high ceilings. We were herded into a fairly cramped room and organised into tables with a few small plates of biscuits, cups, saucers and... More

I had booked our small group in for one night and we all wished we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back. Such a warm, cozy place. We arrived later than expected due to our ferry being really delayed, but no complaint from anyone when we ate dinner long after the dining room was really closed, food was wonderful.... More

Stayed here for one night as a stop on the drive from London to Ullapool, as an early breakfast will give you enough time to get to the morning ferry. Check-in consisted of us saying our names and the guy on reception waving a key in my direction…and that was it. No welcome, no explanation of when or where for... More

We stopped here for afternoon tea on our tour of the Highlands. The staff were friendly and efficient. A very beautiful Hotel. Lovely views of the garden from the dining room. Wish we had more time to look around.

We were very grateful for the generosity of the hotel in allowing us to stay overnight in the lounge on Monday night. All roads out of the area were inaccessible due to flooding and every single hotel room, b&b and hostel full! They fully provided for us which was so kind of them! In return we had dinner and breakfast... More

I stayed a number of days when I was climbing the hills in the area. The bunkhouse is basic with a small kitchen and separate eating area. No lounge. It's very reasonably priced. I ate in the hotel. The food was good and well presented. Dinner ends at 8.00p.m. but you can get a meal after that. At first I... More
