We were very grateful for the generosity of the hotel in allowing us to stay overnight in the lounge on Monday night. All roads out of the area were inaccessible due to flooding and every single hotel room, b&b and hostel full! They fully provided for us which was so kind of them! In return we had dinner and breakfast... More

I stayed a number of days when I was climbing the hills in the area. The bunkhouse is basic with a small kitchen and separate eating area. No lounge. It's very reasonably priced. I ate in the hotel. The food was good and well presented. Dinner ends at 8.00p.m. but you can get a meal after that. At first I... More

Nice place, if a little dated. Room nice size, TV small, shower disappointing. Tiny cubicle and shower head too high and not enough water pressure to suit the style. Bed was of low quality. Food was excellent however and there's a nice ambience in the dining room. Over priced for the standard of room.

We had booked/paid for Friday & Saturday Night. Our first impression of the Bunkhouse was positive - basic but clean, the kitchen and bathroom facilities good. But by evening it became clear that having the communal bathroom(comprising just one shower and one toilet) should not have been in the same block as the sleeping area, as the noise from toilet... What a brilliant little place. Stopped here with working in the area and what an absolute pleasure it was. Nice big room (TV on the small side), clean bed(s), and very well kept. The evening meals are of a different class and are of an extremely high standard, as is the breakfast in the morning. Will definitely be looking to... More

Lovely old Scottish country house hotel, just as it should be. Current family owners have been there for eleven years and it shows. Decor is tip top, windows have all been replaced, service is good and food is excellent. Owners have redecorated but retained the very original character of what the place was when a hunting lodge. To this can... More

Stayed for 2 nights 16th may. Lovely, clean and homely hotel. Good food and staff very nice and hospitable. Room was very comfortable with furniture in keeping with the style of the property. Brand new en suite. Some reviews were stating the towels were made for Shell??. What is the problem ? They were soft, clean and of vibrant colour. Who cares... More

After a walk round Attadale Gardens - which is worth a visit - look for the cheetah! We stopped for lunch here. Had a bar meal. We both had the home-made burger and chips. I don't usually eat burgers but this one was lovely. The salad on the plate was was nicer than the usual chopped up iceberg lettuce. The... More

After a busy day of sightseeing, the tranquil setting of Ledgowan Lodge was a welcome respite. The staff was very welcoming, anxious to please. Our room (108) was large, clean and comfortable. Dinner was fantastic. I had venison stroganoff while my husband chose lemon sole. Breakfast, served from 8:00 to 9:30, had the usual offerings associated with full Scottish breakfast.... More
