Had an excellent stay at the lighthouse which is superbly located. Rooms were as expected and well looked after. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Meals were very good given limited facilities although menu could become repetitive if you stay for more than a few days. more

We loved the setting and staff very friendly and welcoming but think that the hotel is overpriced. Expected a luxury room but decor very dated although clean. Bed two singles pushed together and extremely hard! Could do with a make over asap. Food was nice enough but nothing special. Breakfast good. Quality of accomodation is not reflected in the price.... more

this is the first time we have stayed at the Corsewall lighthouse hotel and we had a really good time. The rooms are comfortable and we had a view of the wild waves. The food was very tasty with good choices and well presented and the staff were very friendly and helpful. more

We spent one night in the stevenson suite. The scenery is simply amazing with the surrounding nature and sea. The suite was very big but not very nicely interior-decorated. The dinner was a real disaster eventhough we had being informed that it should be very tasty. They have received many awards for the dining cousine but in our case we... more

This is our third time staying here, which helps build up discount on the bill. The location, service and food are wonderful in my opinion. With the hotel being a converted lighthouse you would expect it to be away from the hustle and bustle, which is exaclty what the hotel offers. There are a few sights to see out and... more

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights dinner,b&b,all i can say is that this is THE place for a romantic away from it all getaway. The hotel is approx 10 miles north of Stranraer at Corsewall Point where ferries pass on their way to and fro to Ireland. We stayed in the Ailsa room which has great seaview with comfy... more

This was our third visit to this very unusual hotel. The food and service were as excellent as during our previous experiences. This was our first time in the new Stevenson suite however and that made it even more special. The bedrooms and sitting room were huge, cosy and well appointed. The views out of the picture windows magnificent whatever the... more

This was a long awaited much deserved treat for my husband and I. We were so looking forward too it, we thought it would be an anti climax. How wrong we were. This hotel, its staff, its owner, its location and everything about it is supreme. Only a professional whinger could find anything bad to say, and then they would... more

This hotel had been recommended by some friends who know how much I enjoy good food. My husband and I wanted somewhere a bit different to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and I thought this would be ideal. The location is super and we were incredibly lucky with the weather which was fortunate as the room we stayed in was... more

We have been staying at Corsewall on and off for many years. As usual the service was excellent and cannot be faulted. The food is above average and the dining room in simply lovely. The menu stays vaguely the same and has done for about 4 years which rather tiresome. They have had the same deserts for several years which... more
