Stayed here for one night in a twin room. We found it to be a lovely B&B in the very centre of the all the bookshops in Wigtown town square. The en-suite was a little small and decor a bit tired but very clean and friendly owner. The breakfast was great and we had a very good sleep. A lovely... More

We found this lovely little place by accident and had lunch there. Never had Haggis and cheese Panini before but it was so good we went back for more a couple of days later. We were told that not many people order it but once I tried it I was hooked. This is a great place to eat - nice... More

Most friendly place I have ever stayed, with a lovely ensuite room, flat screen tv, tea, , coffee making facilities and to top it all off a full breakfast in the morning. And the price is unbeatable £30 a night for single occupancy great guest house would love to come back thanks for a pleasant stay Paul Smith

We stayed at Glaisnock House just one night and found it to be everything we wanted. Stephanie met us and warmly welcomed us on arrival, making us feel as though we were staying with family. Our room was clean and and comfortable, and the cafe breakfast in the morning was great, the girl who seated and served us was friendly... More

We were met by Stephanie who was very helpful and welcoming. We had a family room which was spacious enough with tv, dvd, kettle and so on. The bathroom was pretty tired, but clean and tidy none the less. Glaisnock itself is a very quiet town although that might be different when the book festival is on. There was very... More

The first time I stayed at the B&B was with my husband. We were warmly greeted by one of the owners, Carl, who kindly carried our luggage to our room. We stayed in a double room with en-suite, it was excellent, and it had everything we needed, but we were told if we needed anything, just to ask. We were... More

I was greeted with a warm friendly welcome after riding 4hrs to get to Wigtown. The owner made me feel relaxed and welcomed. A great first impression. My room was amazing. Much better than what I was expecting. I have stayed in 4 star hotel rooms that weren't as nice as this. The bed was super comfortable and I didn't... More

We stayed at this guesthouse in October 2012. It’s great value and the service was extremely friendly. Breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable, though the ensuite was a little cramped. However, for the price one couldn’t complain. If you’re staying in this area we recommend this guesthouse
