The hosts were just the right amount of friendly. The view was beautiful in a west coast of Scotland sort of way. This is situated a comfortable stroll from the centre of the village and just up a hill from trail that runs past the former harbour and martyrs memorial. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfast delicious.

This was our first visit to wigtown and we found this great place to stay. One of the best B&B we have stayed in. Our room was lovely and clean with all you could ask for. Breakfast was first class set us up for the whole day.

This was my second visit back to Brora. I first stayed last summer for one night. I remembered the friendly welcome by Helen and Peter, the cozy room with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and delicious breakfast. So I was so excited they had availability for a whole week this time. It was so nice to come back every day... More

This was our forth visit to Brora Lodge, and it is still the best B&B we have stayed in, the hosts Peter & Helen are by far the friendliest and helpful of proprietors that you can wish to have. The food is first class and the clenliness of the whole of the lodge and garden are is second to none,... More

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Brora lodge. My parents have been going there for 8 years now and always come home enthusing about the place. I can see why. The owners make you feel so at home, they're friendly and incredibly helpful. The accommodation is spotless and cozy, with some lovely little touch's like sweets in your... More

We tried all last year to make a return visit but always to no avail. This time we cut short a holiday so we could have a couple of nights here on the way home. Peter and Helen were as welcoming as ever and the room as comfortable as anyone would want. These two are just cut out for the... More

We were welcomed with tea in the amazing conservatory with fantastic views. Our room was very comfortable with a good hot shower. Good wifi in the guest lounge and very helpful advice from the friendly hosts on where to eat. A very enjoyable stay in lovely Wigtown.

We returned sadly for a funeral, but despite the reason, our hosts were sensitive, caring and provided warm welcome and most enjoyable conversation which relaxed us all over a cuppa and bikkies. Thanks to a super couple in Helen and Peter. Well done

Thank you so much for our lovely stay in Wigtown for the book festival. Our room was cosy but very clean and tidy. We were made to feel really welcome and the fresh cup of coffee was most gratefully received. The breakfast was really delicious and every effort was made to meet our requests. The view in the breakfast area... More
