We returned sadly for a funeral, but despite the reason, our hosts were sensitive, caring and provided warm welcome and most enjoyable conversation which relaxed us all over a cuppa and bikkies. Thanks to a super couple in Helen and Peter. Well done

Thank you so much for our lovely stay in Wigtown for the book festival. Our room was cosy but very clean and tidy. We were made to feel really welcome and the fresh cup of coffee was most gratefully received. The breakfast was really delicious and every effort was made to meet our requests. The view in the breakfast area... More

We turned up on spec with no warning and our host very kindly took pity on us despite not having a room ready immediately. Very comfortable room, spotlessly clean, and a good breakfast. Lovely views from the sunroom and the biggest TV ever in the guest lounge. Our hosts were extremely hospitable and most professional.

Thank you for the nice review, and despite you catching us off guard and not ready for boarders at that moment, it seems we still impressed you with our service and facilities. We hope you'll return again one day, in a way that's less anxious for both of us. All the best. More

Great service, lovely welcome, very accomodating as I was out til early hours at an event, fantastic food. Couldn't ask for any better. Would definitely stay again if in the area, and will tell my friends and family about Brora Lodge.

just spent a few days here and we were well looked after. The whole place is spotless and the beds very comfortable. Tea, coffee, bottled water, sweets and biscuits available in the room, thats if you can manage to eat anymore after the fabulous breakfast which is served in the conservatory overlooking their pretty garden and the fields behind. we... Thank you very much for the kind review. Clearly you had a good time with us and we're so pleased you did, otherwise the slaving work we do to ensure your stay is perfect would be wasted. We hope you will return one day to enjoy our home again and to seek out more of what glorious Galloway has to... More

Visiting the town to accompany my widowed mum to a wedding could be seen as a chore but staying at Brora Lodge made it feel like a holiday! Helen & Peter have got it down to a 't' welcoming without being intrusive, homely, comfortable and spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were delicious! They've thought of everything - umbrella for a rainy morning... More

Our third stay speaks volumes for the esteem in which we hold Helen,Peter and Brora Lodge. Beds are very comfortable, breakfasts to be salivated over and the house and garden a delight. In the last 3 weeks we have spent 10 nights in 6 differing establishments in 4 countries, none can come near Brora Lodge

Brora Lodge is an ideal base for the Galloway area. Helen and Peter made us most welcome and provided excellent breakfasts and very comfortable accommodation. Their help with local information and friendly discussions made our stay really relaxing. Many thanks to them.

Our umpteenth visit and this time on a glorious evening when we sat in the conservatory and soaked up the sun and the view. Helen and Peter are as attentive as ever and the breakfast is great, sets you up perfectly for the day. It may look like a humble(ish) bungalow at the front but you step into a wonderful... More
