Stayed in the Harbour Lights just after New Year and it has to one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at..Rhona and Colin were very accommodating, even taking my 2 children up to see their ponies, which was the highlight of their stay. Rooms were spotless with juice and sweets for the children as well as the usual... More

Two weary travellers needed accommodation for one night after our ferry was cancelled. Fortunately we called at Harbour Lights and were warmly welcomed by Colin. Suffice to say we were offered a spotlessly clean, modern, bright bedroom complete with ensuite facilities. The next mornng we were treated to an extremely generous breakfast before leaving to catch our delayed ferry. My... More

We stayed here in September 2014. The rooms were well prepared and comfortable and after a long drive very enjoyable to relax in. Breakfast was awesome with very tasty and wholesome food on offer. The friendly owners were helpful and pleasant with good local knowledge. A real good place to stay.

Thank-you for taking time to write a review on the Harbour Lights. Unfortunately we are not responsible for the work going on at the Harbour but all is finished now and it looks wonderful so worth the short disturbance. Thank-you once again Rhona and Colin Brown More

I recently stayed here for 4 weeks whilst on a university placement and there's nothing negative you could possibly say about this lovely b&b. The rooms are fantastic, its only a short walk away from local amenities, plenty of choice at breakfast and loads of easy parking across the road. However, above all has to be the lovely owners, Rhona... More

We chose Harbour Lights after reading other reviews, it really is a gem. We stayed one night before getting the ferry to Belfast. There is plenty of parking and in the morning just a few minutes to the port. Colin was so helpful with advice re eating out that night, there are several places just a short walk away. We... More

Everything that has been said about this beautiful guest house is true. We too had an overnight stay and i agree with other reviews you would not find a nicer couple. The room was lovely, very clean and of a good size. Bottles of water, chocolates and biscuits as well as good selection of tea/ coffee in the room -... More

Booked the double room and family room for an overnight stay. The rooms are lovely, very clean and are of a good size. Bottles of water, chocolates and biscuits as well as good selection of tea/ coffee in the room - excellent. Breakfast was lovely with good selection on offer. We ended up driving 8 hours to get to Stranraer so that we could stay overnight to take the morning ferry to Lorna. Due to road construction we took the back roads which were stunning but they turned out to be too bumpy and curvy for our two year old. He got sick all over the car and Colin and... More

Everything about my stay here for just one night was perfect. Rhona and Colin are both welcoming and oblidging. My room was clean, comfortable and had those few extra finishing touches to make it feel special. Scrumptious breakfast with everything healthy and decadent on offer. Have stayed in another guest house in Stranraer which was awful and an expensive hotel too... More

Stayed here with a few girls from University while we were on placement in Stranraer. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts every morning; the salmon bagels were amazing! The guest house has lovely views onto the harbour and is in a great location in walking distance of everywhere you could want! Despite all of this the... More
