Just back from an overnight at Cross Haven and had a super stay. Can recommend as a base for the area. We found the place warm, comfortable, clean and friendly with a good selection for breakfast. Parking is at the rear of the house with the entry doubling up for a local council training school. more

I have just stayed at this guest house with my husband and two friends. We were all very impressed with the rooms, the food and welcome from Gayle and Michael. They couldn't have done more for us. We are all looking forward to a return visit. Thankyou for a super stay, Sandy Bentley more

Having decided to visit south west Scotland for the first time, we were glad of our choice of guest house. We were made most welcome by Mick and Gayle, who were excellent hosts, and were willing to answer any questions we asked of them. They pointed us in the right direction for food on an evening and towards some beautiful... more

My wife and I had travelled from Southwest of England to Stranraer, in one day, to link up with a ferry booking early the following morning and we were quite weary by the time we arrived in Stranraer. We were really delighted with the welcoming reception we received from Gayle. The guest room was large, warm, bright, airy with setee,... more

Family and 2 dogs stayed for one night as travelling to Ireland the following morning. Good, clean, warm, spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful, with a great breakfast to set us off on our journey! Will be sure to stay here when travelling again. more

Cannot give an entirely unbiased review except to say there was plenty to like about this guest house if borderline pricey for comparable value elsewhere. The owners were most congenial, accommodations dated but acceptable in a converted former convent, location about the best I could hope for in the area. My plan was to take a break from a trip... more

Mick and Gayle are really friendly and go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. Gayle also went to a huge effort following our departure to look for something precious that we lost. more

We stopped at Cross Haven for the night before going over to Belfast on the ferry. We found it a very welcoming and comfortable guest house. We thought the standard was very high and compared well to some hotels. The room was very pleasant and clean and there was plenty of drinks and biscuits including fresh bottled water. The breakfast... more
