We stayed here in January, in the Lighthouse suite, which is a little cottage 50m from the main hotel. It has two, small bedrooms, a bathroom, a living kitchen/diner and a wonderful conservatory. The views of the Lighthouse, the cliffs and the sea are fabulous. It was warm and cozy even though one evening there was a blizzard outside. You... More

My husband and I decided to add an extra day onto our Winter break, so returned to Corsewall. Location of this place is still spectacular and we were treated to the most awesome sunset, talk of the dining room. The hotel could do with some renovation to uplift the decorations and improve the ensuite facilities but other than looking tired... More

I booked this for my Dad's birthday and was really looking forward to this based on the previous reviews. On arrival we had to wait for 15 mins to anybody to appear, in fairness they were setting up the champagne I had ordered in the suite. However on arrival at the suite, it was freezing, we sat with our coats... More

We stayed here on a wild January weekend and it is a truly wonderful place. It's remote and really unique. The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Loch Ryan suite which was spacious and had decent views. The food was amazing with decent choices. The cheesecake was the best I've ever tasted. We had a great... More

We booked into this fabulous little lighthouse 4 hours after eloping to Gretna Green to get married, we were not disappointed, it had a charm and elegance that was so welcoming, we arrived in our wedding finery, and were given a very warm and friendly greeting from the lady on the reception. They gave us lots of useful and helpful information, offered us... We stayed here on 20 December last year and took the Facebook offer that was on at that time. We were booked into the Dunskirkloch Room (ensuite with view over the meadows) but I asked if we could have a room with a sea view. We were given the Ailsa Room and were advised the bathroom was private but didn't... More

Myself hubby and a couple of friends went here for an overnight stay. We had the Ballantrae Suite booked. The approach to the hotel was on a dirt track road with quite a few pot holes. So be careful when driving. It does look like they are putting in a road though. What a wonderful experience arriving at the hotel.... More

We spent our 20th wedding anniversary weekend in the Lighthouse Suite November 2014. The location is magical! The lighthouse is fully functional and just so imposing out there with the stunning views over the sea. It feels remote yet you are treated to amazing hospitality and food! The evening meal is just terrific! And so generous! Tasty good clever food.... More

Around 7 years ago my partner and I first visited this unique hotel. Having decided to get married in secret, our 2 children who were coming to this didn't even know. We discussed this with the hotel wedding planner, Kay Milroy, who arranged everything for us exceptionally discreetly and exactly as we had discussed. I cannot speak more highly of... More
