Decided to stay at Corsewall for one night in April. The location looked stunning and to be fair it didn't disappoint. Before booking we checked with staff that gluten and dairy-free could be catered for as one of us had a food allergy and we were assured that this was no problem. On arrival we were welcomed warmly and booked... More

It is a great pity that your experience of breakfast service tainted your stay with us. We have had a great deal of previous and returning guests who have numerous food allergies / intolerance and to my knowledge this is the first complaint regarding a failure on our part. Admittedly, a mistake was made in the use of the oil... More

We recently stayed for just one night, but we have stayed before over the years enjoying a few weekend. The staff are lovely and professional, keen to do anything they can to make your stay special. The room we had was Firth of Cromarty, which has a balcony, it was fantastic to watch the stars at night and the sea... More

Booked this hotel as a present for my husband - thought it would be a wee bit different from other places we have stayed and it definitely was!! We loved it - friendly staff, amazing food, cosy and the most amazing views! So relaxing too. I agree with other comments that décor in places is a bit tired but the... More

The hotel is situated at the end of a rough road at the end of the North Rhinos Peninsula. The views are breathtaking, from the Ayrshire coast round via Ailsa Craig and Arran all the way to Northern Ireland. Birdlife is abundant plus hares, ermine, dolphins and porpoise. The hotel, a converted lighthouse is unique. The accommodation is quirky and... More

As you approach the Lighthouse Hotel the beauty and ruggedness of the coastline make a marked impression. But it's when you arrive you begin to realise that you've 'landed' in a truly magical and unique setting. With a hugely warm welcome and snug solidity from the fierce winds provided by the robust building, the hotel offers a real haven from... More

We have eaten at Corsewall for a number of years now and had our wedding here in 2004. The food has always maintained a very high standard with interesting dishes in a beautiful situation. Other comments regarding renovation are true but the setting and quality does much to compensate. The staff always make you welcome and will do anything they... More

We stayed here in January, in the Lighthouse suite, which is a little cottage 50m from the main hotel. It has two, small bedrooms, a bathroom, a living kitchen/diner and a wonderful conservatory. The views of the Lighthouse, the cliffs and the sea are fabulous. It was warm and cozy even though one evening there was a blizzard outside. You... More

My husband and I decided to add an extra day onto our Winter break, so returned to Corsewall. Location of this place is still spectacular and we were treated to the most awesome sunset, talk of the dining room. The hotel could do with some renovation to uplift the decorations and improve the ensuite facilities but other than looking tired... More

I booked this for my Dad's birthday and was really looking forward to this based on the previous reviews. On arrival we had to wait for 15 mins to anybody to appear, in fairness they were setting up the champagne I had ordered in the suite. However on arrival at the suite, it was freezing, we sat with our coats... More

We stayed here on a wild January weekend and it is a truly wonderful place. It's remote and really unique. The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Loch Ryan suite which was spacious and had decent views. The food was amazing with decent choices. The cheesecake was the best I've ever tasted. We had a great... More
