To say it should be four star really does not do Coreswold lighthouse Hotel justice. It is just so good. This was our third stay, we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the hotel was better even than the last visit. The staff are well trained and are not happy unless the guests are happy. The whole building including... More

Stayed here for 2 nights for my mum's 70th birthday. 4 of us stayed in the Stevenson suit which was fabulous. The food was outstanding, the chefs catered to my Vegan daughters needs with imagination and style. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough to help. My mum said it was the best weekend of her life.... More

We were looked after so well by Kay and her staff. The weather was kind and Corsewall was the perfect setting for our daughter's wedding. Excellent food, service and accommodation. What more could you want!

The setting is unique it is not often you get the opportunity to stay in a working lighthouse. The birds nesting on the window ledge adding to the nature interest. The restaurant provided good value with helpful staff. We did expect more from the room which looked a little tired with the on suite being small - to the extent... More

This was our first visit to this magical lighthouse....The trip was a birthday gift for me from my husband...Our room was excellent, we had a balcony...the views were outstanding.. our room was more than comfortable and very very clean.....the staff were first class and everyone knew our names...the service was also first class. I did not know that my husband... More

Has all the elements to make a perfect getaway, but really disappointed in the overall condition of the place. Broken seats on the terrace outside, worn our bench and table with green mould just outside the entrance, a shower repair with 2 bits of duct tape, the fact that the lighthouse (owned separately) is well maintained and freshly painted just... We recently stayed with our young son for six nights, Breakfast and evening meal included at £300 pounds per night. It has to be said that our finding was that the location was lovely but the food can not be called fine dining....... Breakfast was OK but with regard to the evening "five course, fine dining" dinner the dishes were... More

Throughout your six day stay at Corsewall, with the exception of your young son's first meal, which was noted, it is disappointing that other issues were not made at the time of your visit or upon departure. Especially as you are a returning Guest. All Hotels charge Room Service and ultimately it was your decision to collect your meals to... More

We didn't stay at the lighthouse but called by for afternoon tea enroute back to Carlisle from Ayr. The views from the lighthouse are marvellous, you can see Northern Ireland, Ailsa Craig and Argyll. We had the afternoon tea, which was a tea and a coffee with freshly baked scones with jam and cream, beautiful. It was very nice and... More

We stayed here on the 16, 17 June. Found it on the internet by chance. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the accessible Galloway room which suited our needs perfectly. The situation is amazing, the food is superb and the staff couldn't do enough to help. We were very fortunate that the weather was perfect! Would love to return... More

We were recommended to stay at Corsewell by an acquaintance and were not disappointed. We stayed in the Stevenson Suite which was definitely not a "suite" but a full blown, very spacious 2 bedroomed modern cottage - for just the 2 of us - amazing! There was a short walk to the main lighthouse building for our meals but that... More
