We are regular visitors to this excellent hotel which I suppose says it all!!! We visited on 1 June 2015 for 3 nights and occupied the Lighthouse Suite which caters for controlled dogs!! We arrived mid afternoon to a very warm welcome from Gill and later Kay. We swiftly settled into our Suite which boasts two smallish bedrooms, a very... More

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend for our first wedding anniversary. This experience was on our bucket list, so, needless to say we hoped it was going to be one we would remember for a long time. The hotel did not disapoint. From the moment we arrived in stranraer, the anticipation to see the lighthouse was one... More

Stayed for one night on bed, breakfast & evening meal. The location is novel and certainly something a bit different, beautiful scenery and right in the waters edge where you can watch the sea do it's best against the rocks. The service is first class through friendly staff and the food is cooked to perfection with a good choice to... More

This is our fourth visit & yet again we have had a wonderful stay at this unique off the beaten track hotel. The staff were friendly & welcoming & when it was raining they offered to pick us up from our suite. We stayed in the spacious Stevenson Suite, a short walk from the main hotel but worth it for... We have just enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at this delightful hotel. If you are looking for somewhere off the beaten track with excellent wining and dining, this is the place for you. Pet friendly (our dog loved it - lots of places for him to roam around on this beautifully rugged coastline!), and outstanding views from our suite. Very... More

We arrived to a warm welcome from the receptionist. A champagne luncheon had been organised and it was fabulous. freshly made sandwiches, champagne followed by tea and coffee and the most gorgeous home made shortbread. Our bedroom on the ground floor was small but very comfortable and the other bedroom was up one and had the most fabulous views. Obviously... More

Decided to stay at Corsewall for one night in April. The location looked stunning and to be fair it didn't disappoint. Before booking we checked with staff that gluten and dairy-free could be catered for as one of us had a food allergy and we were assured that this was no problem. On arrival we were welcomed warmly and booked... More

It is a great pity that your experience of breakfast service tainted your stay with us. We have had a great deal of previous and returning guests who have numerous food allergies / intolerance and to my knowledge this is the first complaint regarding a failure on our part. Admittedly, a mistake was made in the use of the oil... More

We recently stayed for just one night, but we have stayed before over the years enjoying a few weekend. The staff are lovely and professional, keen to do anything they can to make your stay special. The room we had was Firth of Cromarty, which has a balcony, it was fantastic to watch the stars at night and the sea... More

Booked this hotel as a present for my husband - thought it would be a wee bit different from other places we have stayed and it definitely was!! We loved it - friendly staff, amazing food, cosy and the most amazing views! So relaxing too. I agree with other comments that décor in places is a bit tired but the... More

The hotel is situated at the end of a rough road at the end of the North Rhinos Peninsula. The views are breathtaking, from the Ayrshire coast round via Ailsa Craig and Arran all the way to Northern Ireland. Birdlife is abundant plus hares, ermine, dolphins and porpoise. The hotel, a converted lighthouse is unique. The accommodation is quirky and... More
