The accommodation was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was excellent. The room we had was small with little room for storing clothes. It was OK for 2 nights but, if staying longer, it would not be appropriate. The location was great and the couple who run it are very friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than expected but that was... More

This was a first class guest house. I had a single room that was en-suite. The room was spotless and very cosy with extremely good and spacious bathroom. The owners were friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The breakfast was also first class, served with a more than generous pot of tea and a wide choice of... More

I used this B & B either side of a ferry journey home to Northern Ireland. It was excellent! The lady was very friendly, the rooms were spotless both times I stayed. The breakfast was great quality and health. They are happy to accommodate late arrivals and early departures for ferry travellers.

Lovely bed and breakfast run by husband and wife team. The front of house is dealt with by the lady of the house. Lovely and friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble. I had the single room (room 2) which was lovely although a little small. It was only one night so that didn't matter that much. The shower wasn't... More

Lovely B and B room overlooking the water in Stranraer, with very friendly owners and delicious breakfasts. We were very pleased to have chosen Lakeview as our stopover before catching the ferry to Belfast. Excellent value for money, too.

Lakeview Guesthouse occupies a fabulous spot overlooking the waterfront and play park, with ample parking available. We simply wouldn't stay anywhere else, as Lakeview is one of the few places we've stayed that comfortably fits our family of five in, and provides a wonderful place to sleep. The beds are beyond comfortable, and were freshly turned on our second night,... More

We stayed here one night when in the area for a football match. Elaine welcomed us in an efficient and friendly way and made it clear she'd be happy to help us with anything concerning our stay. For us she had the balance just right without being over effusive. The breakfast was good. - you fill in your choice and... More

Arrived at 2230 on a Saturday Evening following my ferry trip from Belfast to Cairnryan. The Guest House was situated on the main (but quiet) road through Stranraer and had a large neon sign outside which made finding the guest house a breeze. On entering, I was very warmly greeted by Allan who showed me to my room. I had... More

Me and my partner stayed here the night before catching our ferry to Ireland - the hotel is brilliantly located as only a 5 mins drive away. The room was gorgeous, plenty of space and the en-suite was an added bonus. Elaine was so welcoming and cooks a top breakfast before your on your way! My only concern was leaving... More

We picked this property purely for it's location and price, and it worked out wonderfully. My Mom was traveling with us, and we were given two rooms just one floor up, There was a door in the hallway that could be shut, so we could leave our room door open and still have privacy. Each room had a small but... More
