We stayed here before setting off to Belfast. I'd pre-paid on booking.com which is a shame, as my wife burst into tears as soon as we alone in our room, otherwise we would have left straight away. Probably should have done anyway. For breakfast we were given a supermarket bag which contained a loaf of bread-says it all really. This... More

We booked the family room for one night, and although I was a little worried by some of the reviews I had read, I was so wrong. The room was lovely, clean and with everything you need, but the hospitality shown by Lisa and her husband was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was what you pay for... More

The Swan Inn is a delightful family run business and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting a safe, clean accomodation. Recent stay for one night was wonderful. Clean room, breakfast provided, and the host and his wife were top notch in looking after our needs. We had a wonderful evening at the pub downstairs and were entertained... More

Booked to stay to as I was playing in the bar downstairs with my band Scruffy Buzzards. Really impressed with the level of comfort and the fact that everything was provided to make your own continental breakfast (including fresh milk) at a convenient time rather than having to wait until the kitchen opens. The hospitality was excellent and the music... More

Our stay was short but comfortable. After travelling for some time it was good to have everything at hand to make our own breakfast at a time of our choosing. A bowl of fresh fruit, croissants, a loaf of bread and toaster with milk, yoghurt, cereal, porridge and spreads provided all that was needed. Access to the rooms from a... More

We booked here upon our return from Belfast, this was totally unplanned due to the unexpected Winter weather which closed all the roads around Stranraer. I admit first impressions were not great, access to the two en-suite rooms was via a rather tired corridor and stair case. However I was surprised the room was clean and warm. I read the... More

We arrived at about 1.30 p.m. and found the Inn closed, even though it says check in from 12 noon. A back door was unlocked and when we entered found a cleaner only. She offered to phone the owner who arrived about 10 minutes later. We were shown a room which was accessed from an undecorated corridor and up a... More

I stayed here as a single business traveller for two nights. It was brilliant value and a nice place to stay. Had a full size fridge stocked with fruit and milk / juice and a toaster with fresh bread and pancakes in the room!!! Brilliant as I said :-) highly recommended and would return immediately if I need to travel... More

Only stayed the one night, after driving from West Cork, then Stena Llne Ferry. Had another 6 hours travelling after. Arrived fairly late at night, but that was no problem. Left early after having breakfast. The room was really well decorated. It was above a pub, so continental breakfast. Everything catered for. Very impressive. Would definately recommend, and stay there... More

We stayed at the Swan as we were meeting the Ferry from Northern Ireland to pick up a puppy. We wanted a dog friendly B & B to take our dog with us. The atmosphere was fab, the family were lovely (especially Murphy the dog!!). I could not fault the place, the family feel was fantastic especially the well mannered... More
