We stayed here for 2 nights on the Easy Breaks deal, menu was limited but food was quite good, although could have done with a bit more choice. Room was clean and tidy but was disappointed not to get a seaview, when the hotel was nearly empty. On the second night the heating in the room went off and we... More

We stayed at the Powfoot Hotel on a 2 night DBB break with Easybreaks. The hotel is well situated in a small rural village near Annan on the banks of the Solway and beside a golf course. However apart from the location we were disappointed with our stay. The exterior of the hotel is quite shabby and parts of the... More

We enjoyed our stay in Powfoot. It’s a beautiful area and our hotel room had a lovely view out over the Solway Firth, and there are lots of nice walks you can do nearby. There’s nothing terribly wrong with the hotel although there isn’t anything that great about it either. We had a comfy bed and a hot shower (in... More

We arrived for a two night stay booked through Easy Breaks. Bedroom was okay but the bathroom was in need of updating Wouldn't say it was spotlessly clean but it was passable. Our view was over the roof and onto the new wing with the corridor window of the new wing looking directly into our room. Avoid room 8! The... More

Visited here the night before my wedding with family as my partner spent a lot of holidays at powfoot beach growing up. Our table was booked months in advance. We asked specifically for a window table for the views of the beach. When we arrived they had not done this, and the tables that were in front of the window... More

I don't really know how to start this review which is unusual for me. The staff are brilliant really friendly helpful and welcoming. The problem is there's not enough of them. Our party of 6 went up for a wedding stopped 2 nights (Aug 1+2nd) The first night was a bit frustrating the food and drinks were ok but the... More

I attended a writing course that was held at this hotel, and decided to go for lunch with some trepidation, given some of the reviews. It's a seaside hotel, with an old-fashioned feel to it. It's tucked out of the way and there can't be much foot-traffic as it is at the end of a rural village looking out over... More

This is as close to Fawlty Towers as I have come, the poor guy who checked us in was also the porter who escorted you to your room. When we went for a drink he was the barman, when we ordered our evening meal he took the order and then he was the waiter who delivered the meal. Needless to... More

I visited for a family meal and we couldn't of been happier. The meal was beautiful and service was excellent. A great menu. The bar area was lovely and clean. We had a variety of food and there was no complaints. We will be returning very soon.
