I attended a writing course that was held at this hotel, and decided to go for lunch with some trepidation, given some of the reviews. It's a seaside hotel, with an old-fashioned feel to it. It's tucked out of the way and there can't be much foot-traffic as it is at the end of a rural village looking out over... More

This is as close to Fawlty Towers as I have come, the poor guy who checked us in was also the porter who escorted you to your room. When we went for a drink he was the barman, when we ordered our evening meal he took the order and then he was the waiter who delivered the meal. Needless to... More

I visited for a family meal and we couldn't of been happier. The meal was beautiful and service was excellent. A great menu. The bar area was lovely and clean. We had a variety of food and there was no complaints. We will be returning very soon.

Tried to have a meal here today - unless you wanted to sit outside in the rain, don't bother. The place wasn't busy, there is a big bar area, but no dogs to cross the threshold. Bit silly that a hotel right next to the beach, where you are going to get people walking their dogs, doesn't want them as... More

Redirected here following a booking issue with our intended hotel. Only one person manning reception and the bar area so not ideal. Chef wanted to go home so we needed to arrive, check in and order food before 9pm, again less than ideal and a real rush. Dinner was acceptable, breakfast a vast improvement. Rooms are functional at best, although... More

Went for a quick pub lunch with my friends at the weekend after reading reviews and viewing the menu online. Online menu advertise proper pub grub such as scampi and chips, steak and ale pie and chips etc, however on arrival to the restaraunt there was a set menu with only three or four options with little variety. Service was... More

We come here a couple of times a year for meals when we are staying at the caravan park down the road. We stay at the caravan park as it is dog friendly. My parents have stayed here though and thought the accommodation was immaculate and very comfortable. The food is absolutely fabulous and fantastic value for money. The staff... More
