Just back from a wonderful stay we had a beautiful seaview room we had been upgraded from a smaller back room. The staff were excellent and very attentive I beleive this is a family run hotel. Food could not be faulted the visitors book is full of compliments for the food. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the terrace... more

We were a party of 7 not one of the rooms we were allocated was a sea veiw - we stayed 3 nights. We were a family group meeting up in Portpatrick with grandma and the three year old. The rooms were clean but cramped. My husband and I were in a room at the back that had a double... more

Arrived as agreed with owner Diane at 11am to find the room not ready and staff saying they weren't expecting us! Great start NOT!, Staff went into kitchen area and were discussing the fact they had no keys to let us in and as usual they couldn't contact the owners, their choice language was not the best! Eventually a young... more

We were a party of 12 staying at the Mount Stewart in May 08. Dianne and the staff at the hotel could not have been nicer, food was great, golf courses excellent, the views on a warm clear night are breathtaking and Port Patrick is an fine place for a good night out. more

Stayed just for one night. Staff lovely and enjoyed good evening meal. Agree with previous comments that it could do with a bit of a 'facelift' and I would have welcomed a radiator in the bathroom - but if you want great views across the Irish Sea this is the place for you. more

My partner and I stayed two nights at this hotel, and we loved it. Our room was large and clean, the bed comfortable. The view from our room of the sea and across the village was stunning, in fact one late afternoon when it rained we sat at the window drinking cups of tea, eating chocolate and watching the waves... more

Arrived here on a very wet evening to find there were no parking spaces - quickly resolved by the helpful owner vacating his own. Room comfortable, four poster bed, lovely sea view. Excellent good value meal in the bar, friendly locals also dining there. Good full breakfast. Pleasant overnight stay. more

Located in the picturesque fishing village of Portpatrick, this small hotel has the warm, comforting welcome of a friendly local pub. The staff are friendly as were all the guests whether staying or locals using the bar. We stayed on a wet, early summer evening; however, we imagine staying here in winter by the fire or summer sitting outside at... more
