This hotel is situated in a peaceful coastal location with great views of the Irish sea. The dining room and bar lounge are also quite intimate and comfortable. Rooms are all quite different and of course there is the famous room in which Winston Churchill stayed. The food and quality of service is excellent. Overall a great place to get... More

I have been staying at Knockinaam Lodge for a number of years (probably close to 9) every December and January. Knockinamm Lodge is a small hotel with a small selection of lovely well decorated and tastefully presented rooms all very warm and inviting. We normally take the whole of Knockinaam as a group and have had some truly unforgettable times... More

We stayed 3 nights in the lodge. At over £300 per night it wasnt cheap, but we wanted an idyllic setting with quality service. The lodge and grounds are second to none. The private beach is also a must. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice and locally sourced quality fayre. Dinner was the only let down, although the standard... More

An anniversary trip away & it was everything and more than we could have wished for. From drawing up at the front door to leaving we experienced 5 star service. The meal was superb and had catered for my non cheese eating husband. His face shone when he saw the vast array of whisky on offer and we were very... More

Lovely, remote location, views of Northern Ireland on a clear day. Small, intimate place, with nicely appointed rooms. Service was good. Food and wine excellent. My only grumble was that the bed was not desperately comfortable. The mattress, two singles conjoined, each had a dip in the middle, the blankets felt a bit stiff and the pillows were lumpy. Please... More

We spent a recent holiday at Knockinaam, and feel that this is one of the most attractive, pleasant and friendly places that we have stayed. The position of the well maintained property is idyllic, and on each of our visits we have been blessed with good weather. The rooms are delightful, and the staff ( mostly local ) really seem... We spent a very enjoyable weekend here in August. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room, The Hannay, was extremely comfortable, with a view of the sea, and a huge bathroom. The food was excellent, and the service was very good. This is a lovely hotel in a great location. It is certainly one of our favourites, and... More

Stayed for two nights, the staff are truly wonderful and have customer service to a tee. The location is so relaxing and idyllic and the whole ambience is marvellous. The food is so worthy of the Michelin star and we had two fabulous dinners and breakfasts. Could not praise the hotel enough and just wished we lived locally so we... More

For my sixtieth birthday my husband and I spent four wonderful days at Knockinaam Lodge, Portpatrick. After driving through some wonderful countryside we came over a hill and found the hotel set in its beautiful grounds, with its own private beach beyond. It is a haven for anyone wanting tranquillity and fresh sea air. We were greeted warmly with tea... More
