We stayed at this beautiful Hotel set in fantastic gardens with a breathtaking view of the bay for 3 nights, we held our Step Fathers 70th Birthday celebrations here and would like to say a special thank you to David who helped this occasion go without a hitch, for all his hard work and organisation. The Hotel was so relaxed... more

Reading the reviews of the hotel i felt i had to write one of my own. There are alot of negative reviews and this was really not our experience! When we first arrived the owners offered us a room with a four poster bed and fantastic views they took us up to the room to see if we liked it... more

Awww, this hotel seems to have a hard time with its reviewers. We had a lovely night there and the proprieter couldn't do enough to help us. He was very welcoming, friendly and entertaining and he took an interest in the guests that were staying there. He was definitely a bit hyperactive and it it was quite comical, as he... more

We stayed 1 night as part of a group of 15 couples on a classic car tour of Scotland. The whole hotle seemed to be run by one lanky guy (inevitably we nicknamed him Basil) who was trying to be bar-man, receptionist, show guests to their rooms, carry bags, take meal orders, and act as waiter! The only other staff... more

We got married at the Baron's Craig and had a great weekend - unfortunately none of this was down to the disorganisation or rudeness of the proprietor and wedding 'planner' who wanted to spend more time talking about her own wedding The catalogue of errors is long but here are the main ones. Firstly we were initially (nine months in... more

Its a lovely location. And thats about it really. The owner/manager is the most hideous man you could ever meet. Get rid of him and a new chef and it might stand a chance. I went there as a child with my family and it was lovely . I remember the putting green and the food was good and the... more

Do not go to Barons Craig hotel. The owner/manager has the worse possible attitude to customer service I have ever experienced. I booked to take my Father and a part of 14 people for what was meant to be a very special occassion. They ruined it. It really was a comedy of errors from the poor service, to the quality... more

Stayed a week as part of a large party. Bad food is tolerable for a day but it's vitally important to get good grub when you're staying a week and there is no alternative within striking distance. Frankly, I'm amazed how anyone could cook this badly. A 'curry' was boiled cauliflower with too much chili powder added to the water... more

The Hotel is set in a stunning location, however that is where the positives stop. The Hotel is very overpriced, the room we stopped in was built in the 1970's and has not seen any painting upgrade since then. The staff overall were friendly except for the male manager/owner who was very rude when we were checking out. The food... more
